Two days. What should I do? Since I quit the convenience store yesterday (not without stocking up on food for today and tomorrow), I have the whole day's time on my hands.
I think I'll do some window shopping at that mall that's a few blocks away. Maybe after that, I'll do some stargazing?
Eh, I don't have to plan out my day anymore. I can just do everything on a whim.
Guess I'm going out, then.
....I wonder how Taehyung's doing. No, nevermind. I can't think about him. I won't think about him. That'll just make it harder.
I wonder if I'll run into him again...

I walked through the huge doors that served as the entrance to the department store. Immediately I was bombarded with employees pushing a fancy jacket in my face, assistants trying to spray me with perfume, and other shoppers just trying to shop peacefully.
I pushed my way out of the crowd and found myself in a rather expensive-looking store in the corner of the floor. Walking around the shop, I saw cashmere coats, leather handbags, and diamond accessories.
It was nice to look at, but also a bit disheartening to realize that I would never have been able to afford any of this stuff in my lifetime. Maybe when I was younger I could have bought some of it, but those times are over now. They're in the past.
I stopped beside a rose gold watch in a glass case. It was beautiful; small and thin, like a bracelet, and stylish and elegant.
It looked exactly like the one my mother had.
I remembered the countless times I saw that watch on the wrist of the hand that was about to hit me.
I felt myself falling into a tunnel of darkness, and the store around me disappeared. I was alone. In the dark.
Like I was before.
I felt a tap on my shoulder, and the darkness was gone. I was back in the store. looking at the watch.
I looked at who tapped me, then gasped.
He chuckled. "That shocked to see me?"
I nodded.
"I figured I should get used to seeing you around. It seems we meet quite often," he said while bending down to look at the watch in front of me.
No, no, no. This can't be happening. It'll only be harder for him to forget me if he sees me this much.
He looked back at me. "Were you looking at this watch? It's quite beautiful."
I shook myself out of my thoughts. "Yeah. It reminded me of someone I knew a while ago, that's all." I gave a shaky laugh and backed away from it.
"Really? They must've been very stylish, seeing that they wore this kind of watch."
I dropped my gaze.
