Breaking The Ice (Natsu x Depressed Reader)

Chapter 5

Y/n POV
I get nervous as we both open the doors, a chair comes straight towards us, Mark brings his hand over my face and grabs the chair, protecting me.

No one has noticed us until a select few start sniffing, then looking towards the doors, causing others to look.

Mark finally takes the chair away from my face while everyone's mouths drop seeing us. We both have emotionless looks. A short old man walked up towards us, "Hello, Cannenta and Bellator." He bows "I am Makarov Dreyar, the master of the Fairy Tail guild. What brings you to here?" He questions.

"Well, we moved to Magnolia." I respond, some gasp. "And we've always wanted to join a guild, we wanted to know if we could join your guild, sir." I bow towards Makarov. Everyone's staring at us. Mark notices I'm uncomfortable. Oh, I never told you what Mark looks like! My bad! He has black hair, black eyes, tan skin, a black coat on with black knee length pants (like Natsu's just black only tho) and no shirt. Mark has gotten stronger than me in the past few years, I guess that Vulcan incident has made him determined to get stronger! I smile on the inside.

"Of course! You are welcome to our guild! Mirajane! Cannenta and Bellator would like to join our guild!" Makarov yells to a beautiful girl wearing a black dress with a white ribbon around her waist and white hair, a ponytail holding her bangs up at the top. "Of course, master. Come on guys!" We walk over and I recognize her, she's always in Sorcerers Weekly! She's a famous model!

Everyone is still staring at us, but talking. The fights have stopped, but everyone is talking quietly. Mirajane gives Mark a black guild mark on his chest (left side where his heart is) "Cannenta, where would you like yours?" Mirajane asks, "b/p please" I respond (body part is b/p) "okie, what colour?" She asks. "Hm... F/c please!" I smile.

Time skip after you two meet everyone

Mark seemed to get along really well with a Gajeel, his exceed Pantherlily and Laxus while I got alone with awhile team, team Natsu, that team consists of people named Erza, Wendy, Gray, Lucy and two exceeds named Carla and Happy. We both obviously got along with everyone. It's just, who we got along with most. I go sit at the bar to get to know Mirajane more.

"So, Mirajane..." "oh, just call me Mira, Cannenta" I smile at her response "Ok, just call me y/n" I smile at her. I can tell her and I will get along really well.

A certain pink haired mage appeared next to me.

"Sooooo, y/n, huh?" He smirks. I nod, looking over towards him. "We should fight." He pumps his fist into the air smiling like wild. Everyone sweat drops "Natsu, do you realize she is THE Cannenta!?!?" Macao yells at Natsu. "Yes, I'm not dumb! I just wanna fight her!" Natsu whines. I'm gonna be honest. Natsu, is cute. Like... cute cute...

Natsu ends up convincing me to fight so, we go outside, Mark watches proudly, so does Hercules and Daisy. I throw my coat to the side while Natsu gets into a fighting stance. I stand there. "3..2..1.. GO!" Master Makarov shouts, excitedly might I mention.

"Fire dragon ROAR" Natsu shouts. I secretly use my fire dragon slaying magic to cancel his magic, but no one knows that. Natsu stares at me shocked, so does everyone else but Mark, Daisy and Hercules. Out of the corner of my mind I see Daisy go talk to Pantherlily, and she BLUSHED?? I smile in my head and focus on the fight yet again.

I focus on Defense first, to tire Natsu out. This guy has lots of energy, though. And he is a year older than me. This might be hard.

"Fire dragon, IRON FIST" he shouts and I just hit my fists together, causing ice to surround them next, I hold a hand out and just grab Natsu's fist. I just stand there. Not moving, no expression.
