Breaking The Ice (Natsu x Depressed Reader)

Chapter 4

Y/n POV
I wake up happily, I yawn standing up. I look at myself in my mirror and do poses. I never realize that my... uh... BODY WAS AMAZING!!! YESSSSSS SUPPORT QUEEN!! Anyways, I change into some black tights, a f/c shirt and my black coat with blue fluffy-ness on the inside.

I walk out into the living room to see Mark ready for today's job. He is an amazing guy, honestly. He has been feeling like a brother to me, though we've only known each other for less than 24 hours... Welp.

Mark and I get walking. Today we are attacking some Vulcans.  We go to this very hilly area with many caves. It was very cold in this area and there was a huge mountain!

We walk to the mountain, Mark getting colder and colder the more we walk while I slowly get cold. My fire dragon slaying helps me a bit. But I made sure to tone it down so he doesn't notice.

"So, y/n. How did you block my dark magic yesterday?" He looks towards me, his breath now visible from how cold it is. "Oh, well... I also know some magic can can cancel others attacks." I lie. Well not fully a lie... I kind of do... "Wow! So cool!" He yells excitedly. "Well, were here" I say. We hear grunts of the Vulcans as they smell our scents.

Mark -not being careful-  runs into the huge cave in the mountain and starts yelling "dark dragon, ELIMINATE!" Half the Vulcans are eliminated, left for me to deal with. I smirk as I see how powerful he is "ice dragon, wall" I whisper, stopping Mark from getting the rest. I put a hand out in front of me "ice dragon, break." The ice under the Vulcans break, causing them to fall in cold water." The wall infront of Mark breaks.

"Wow, y/n" he says sarcastically clapping. "I could've dealt with them!" I just giggle at his anger over it. "Get over it, princess" I giggle. He holds his chest where his heart would be and backs into a wall jokingly offended and we both laugh together.

Mark and I decide to get ready for our next job, and our last. It was to help this guy defeat a dark guild, as back up of course.

We walk to our meeting spot, the fountain in the middle of town. We wait, and wait. Until a man, with green hair walks up to us. "Are you two my back up? Wo- Cannenta!?" I bow "Pleasure to help you, sir."

We talk while we walk to the dark guild. This place seems to have a lot of dark guilds. All three of us enter the building, Mark and the green haired man we found out to be named Joshua fight while I constantly heal them.

When we finish up, Joshua hands us 700,000 jewels and just teleports away. Strange guy. Very strange.

Once home, Juin comes to visit. "Hey, y/n!" He waves walking in my apartment. "How are you, Juin?" I reply.

"I'm doing great, you?" "Very good! Oh! And meet my new friend, Mark. I found him while out on one of my missions. Poor guy got lost from his family, he was so scared." I say, convincingly. "Oh, y/n. You have such a warm, kind and caring heart. Shame on the parents who left you!" I smile knowing he's a good man.

"Juin, would you like some dinner?" I ask and he agrees. Him and Mark talk in the living room while I cook some steak, mashed potatoes and corn/beans for dinner. I smile knowing my life is going to be ok after all. I still miss father, though...

Flash back

"Father!" I scream as he flies through the air with me on him. He does cool tricks and flies beside mountains that go past the clouds. The test is to see if I can hold on!

We both laugh together and father randomly dips down and almost crashed into water. Stopping before he touches it, the wind causing the water to ripple. I scream and laugh harder.

End of flash back

I smile at that memory. I wonder where I'll be when I'm 20. Or 30... hopefully I still have a good life. I turn to see the two having fun talking about the show that's on the TV.

'Mark is going to make a girl real happy one day. And if he doesn't, I'll slap him until he does' I think to myself. Smiling. Hopefully I'm good friends with that girl. If not, I can't approve. Haha.

Time skip 5 years
I am now 16. Weird, huh? Juin let me stay in this apartment, but I obviously had to go to different towns to help people. I have kept my name as the Cannenta, while Mark has earned himself a name, Bellator, Latin for warrior/soldier. Everyone thinks we're siblings, which is the funny thing.

Today is the day, Mark and I leave our home to explore the town of Magnolia. Our whole town is here at the fountain in the middle of town to say goodbye to us. We hug so many people. Last person we hug is Juin, he has helped us through so much. He both kneel to hug him as he is very short and I am (insert height) and Mark is 6'7, I know, tall.

"We all wish you, Cannenta and Bellator, good luck on your journeys and we will always be thankful for you two. I will surely miss you both so, YOU BETTER COME VISIT US! And don't forget us!" He yells the last part like a scolding mother who's children are moving out. The town gifts us with... TWO EXCEEDS!?!? One is black with blue stripes and the other is black! I take the black with blue stripes while Mark takes the other one. My exceed is named Daisy, while Mark's is named Hercules.

Time skip
We are on the train reading magazines when Juin spots something.

"Hey y/n, you know how you've always wanted to join a guild?" Juin asks.

"Yeah, what about it?" I ask, slightly worried but I try not to move as Daisy is sleeping on my head. "Well, in Magnolia, there is a guild called Fairytail, they're the strongest guild in Fiore!" He exclaims excitedly, waking up Daisy, but she just fall asleep again.

Are you wondering why we don't have motion sickness? Well, it's called my magic. Thank you for your time.

I get excited and smile. "We should try to join it, but Mark they might have higher expectations than you can... ya know..." I joke and he looks jokingly offended, we just end up laughing together.

Time skip to Magnolia

While walking the streets, we get stares and people whisper when seeing us, this is usual for us since we are Cannenta and Bellator. Some people walk up to us, shake our hands then thank us for our services, while others stare.

While walking we bump into a female and a male. "I-oh! Sorry!" We apologize, so do they. We look towards the other people to see a couple, they look like they're in their mid 40's. And they just smile, "we are sorry, Cannenta and Bellator. We didn't expect to see you return. What are you here for?" The woman questions. "Oh, we're here to stay. Like... ya know... live here. But first we have to find the Fairy Tail guild" Mark answers.

The couple happily smiles and points to a huge building with the Fairy Tail emblem on it. "It's right there! Good luck." And with that, they walk away.

We walk towards the guild hall and soon enough we're at the doors. We both prepare before we decide we're ready to go in, knowing this is a big guild, it's scary. How would they feel about us? Do they even know us? Would they be scared of us? We didn't know.
