"I'm so tired of doing this y/n"
Mingi said with his hands tightly gripped around the steering wheel.

"It's helping"
You answered.

"Yeah it got us back on our feet, now we can stop"

He was completely over counseling.

Getting ideas from another person on how to fix your relationship, really wasn't his cup of tea.

The two of you had been going every Thursday for quite awhile now.

You definitely looked pregnant at this point.
Felt it too.

It seemed as if the littlest of things would had you out of breath.

Being new to this whole pregnancy thing, you weren't quite sure how normal this was.

It didn't phase you though.
You still continued to go about your days as you usually would.

The two of you were learning a lot of communication tips.

One of the biggest ones was 𝑰 𝑺𝒕𝒂𝒕𝒆𝒎𝒆𝒏𝒕𝒔.

When you're upset with one another, you're to use them.

𝑰 𝒔𝒕𝒂𝒕𝒆𝒎𝒆𝒏𝒕𝒔 allowed you to say how the situation made you feel, apposed to pointing a finger at the other person.

"Let's just not give up yet okay Min"

He sighed loudly.
"It's just bullshit to me"

"Well it isn't to me. I actually appreciate the pointers that Derek gives us"

Derek was your counselor.
He wasn't biased in any way.

Which was good in that sense.

"Of course you would"

"What does that mean Mingi"

"It doesn't mean anything. You just have so much hope in this guy.. that he's going to magically fix everything that's wrong in our relationship"

Over the last few weeks, things haven't necessarily gotten that much better for yourselves.

They were getting there though. Slowly.

"I'm sorry that I have hope in our relationship"
You laughed.

The two of you pulled up to his apartment.

You took your purse and got out of the car.

Mingi sat, staring at you through the windshield.

You motioned for him to come inside, but he stayed in the car.

You then made you way over to his side of the vehicle, and signaled for him to roll down the window.

He hadn't shut it off yet, so this was still possible.

He did as you wanted, continuing to stare at you.

"What's wrong?"
You asked him.

"I'm just stressed out"
He said in frustration.

"Why?"
You leaned in, resting your arms on the edge of the window.

"My parents"

"What about them?"
You asked, prying into the matter.

"They're just riding me so hard y/n.. you have no idea"

"Mingi I do understand. I know your parents.. but you're putting your problems with them on our relationship"

He nodded.

"They're upset? Okay oh well.. but us seeking counseling to make our relationship work has nothing to do with them. At least it shouldn't"

"I just wonder if its worth it"

"Ming-"

"I mean honestly y/n? We need counseling just to get along with each other?"

You were trying to come up with the words to say to him.

"I'm sorry"
He trailed off.
"I'm sorry that I pushed this"

You knew what he meant.

You were alike in one way.
You both thought things out too much.

"Let's just go inside. It's been a long day"
You opened up the door for him.

"Okay"
He said and stepped out of the car.

You were exhausted.
As good as these meet ups were, it was also extremely draining to continuously talk about situations that happened between the two of you.

As soon as you entered the house, you were ready to take a nap.

Pregnancy was just overall tiring.

It was a lot of work to grow a human inside of you.

"Where you going?"
Mingi asked as you made you way to the bedroom.

"I'm exhausted Min. I'm gonna sleep for a bit"

"Can I come?"
He asked in a soft tone.

You looked at him.
"If you'll let me sleep"

He laughed and followed you.
"I will"

-𝐿𝑎𝑡𝑒𝑟-

You woke up from your slumber to Mingi gripping your hips gently.

You groaned, letting him know that he had woken you.

"Sorry"
He said.

"It's fine.."
You rolled over, letting his arms wrap around your body.

"Do you think I'll be a good dad..?"

You knew that something had been bothering him.
This was clearly it.

He was worried, maybe even scared.

You turned to him and cuppedd his cheek in your hand.

"Yes Mingi"
You kissed him and wrapped your legs around his waist.

This wasn't your ideal situation by any means.
But if it had to be this way, you were thankful that it was with Mingi.

Despite your troubles, he was the only person that you'd want to be going through this with.
