Caratland [Seventeen FF]

Here I was standing. Standing in front of a big lighter with "caratland" written on it. As a kid I wouldn't stop smiling, when I saw that big sign. I sighed looking down on my island ID card. Was that really a good job? After all the payment seemed nice and the over all package seemed nice too: Free rides at the amusement park, up to three free meals in the food course and a rented hotel room for a year. It was strange looking at that sign as an adult again.
"Caratland", I murmured to myself, "My new workplace and home."

After entering the gates I went to the amusement park since that will be my new workplace.
It was quiet. Really quiet. Like an abonded amusement park. I couldn't find anyone. I walked over to the ferris wheel, but there wasn't anyone. It's 2pm so maybe they went out eating.
I slandered around the place a little bit, memories crossing my mind. After winning that tiger I would take it everywhere with me until my classmates found it weird. Even in my teenage years I sticked to that plushie. I never gave it a name though. It was like a non-verbal mental support. I went to the horror ride, remembering all my screams I let out in those 3 minutes. How annoying that must have been for my family.
"Can I help you?", a deep voice suddenly asked. I turned around to see a guy standing behind the ticket booth. He had dark curly hair and sharp eyes, which glare pierced mine.
"Oh, uhm. I'm Kwon Soonyoung, the new worker", I introduced myself, reaching out my hand. Instead of taking it, the guy just turned around: "Follow me."

We were walking over to the ferris wheel again, where two other guys were standing there.
"Jisoo, do something", the guy with curly hair said. One of the other two guys looked at me and smiled friendly.
"Oh, you must be the new one. I'm Jisoo and that dark, scary looking guy is Wonwoo. He isn't the friendliest", he introduced himself and the other. He had black hair and smiled like an angel, "Oh, and that is Chan. He's the youngest here. Still learning" The guy standing next to Jisoo smiled, shaking my hand heavily. He had brown hair and was also smiling friendly.
"Hey, my name is Lee Chan. But you can call me Chan, some customers call me Dino though", he babbled.
"Hi, I'm Soonyoung", I introduced myself again.
"Let me show you around", Jisoo said. I nodded and he started guiding me.

"So as you probably know caratland is devided under four parts: The amusement park, the food court, the golf court and the hotel. The amusement park being the most important one since that catches the visitors. We have different teams, everyone having another job. You're now our 13th member working here", Jisoo explained the basics. I nodded.

We walked over to the roller coasters. "Our roller coaster team consists of two members: Seokmin and Hansol", he said, pointing at two guys chatting. Both had brown hair, the one smiling with an eyesmile and the other somehow reminding me of Leonardo DiCaprio.

We went on to the horror ride. Wonwoo was standing there with a tall guy with dark hair, who seemed to not stop talking. Next to them was a blue haired guy, looking bored as hell.
"That's our horror ride team: Wonwoo, you already know him. The blue haired is Seungkwan and the tall one is Mingyu. Seungkwan always complains, claiming he's a third wheel next to those two. So I warned you on that one", Jisoo explained, shaking his head on the thought of it.

We went to the carousel. Next to it were two guys fighting over something. It seemed more like the one guy scolded the other one. "That's our carousel team. We also call them China-Line since they're the transfers from China. Firstly we thought they would get along but Minghao always seems complaining", Jisoo shrugged his shoulders.
"I told you to adjust the chairs differently, Imma!", the brown haired, shouted.
"You could've done it too! Why always pushing your duties on me?", the blonde haired argumented.
"Oh, they're Minghao and Junhui or Jun, by the way", Jisoo said, pointing firstly at the brown haired one and then at the blonde guy.

"In which team are you?", I asked Jisoo on our way to the game stands.
"I'm team ferris wheel. I'm the only one there since a ferris wheel is not much work", he smiled.

"And here is your new workplace!", he exclaimed pointing at the game stands. So I'm going to work at the game stand... "And your work mate will be Jihoon", he explained further. Then a small guy with pink hair came, holding two boxes. That guy was so...cute.
"Jihoon, that's Soonyoung, your new work partner. Be nice and give him work", Jisoo said the last part in a warning tone. Jihoon just rolled his eyes and kept working without a word. "You're getting used to it. He usually works alone. So I'm going to do my job then", Jisoo smiled leaving me and Jihoon alone.

"Uhm, so, what's the work here?", I asked after a while. Jihoon was now sorting out some coins into smaller blue, red and green boxes.
"Sort out coins", he responded without looking at me.
"Uhm, so can I help you?", I asked so I get a little work too.
"Yeah, just be quiet and don't touch anything", he answered, sorting out the coins a little faster. He didn't seem in a good mood so I kept my mouth shut and wandered around the place.

The front part of the game stand consisted of all those lucky-pick games. You could win everything from small plushies to a new phone. Behind those were the most fun: The game booths. From balloon shooting to can throwing. I loved every single game. Every year as a kid I would try my luck on a different booth. I was able to try everything besides the duck chase game since my height back then didn't even reach the little pool, where the plastic ducks were swimming in. I went to that booth now easily touching the water. I laughed reminding myself on the moment I always wanted to try it. I went to the ticket stand to look at it in detail. But when I suddenly touched it...
