"Do you know where the other are heading to?", I asked Jihoon when we were only us two. It was already dark and we were almost at the hotel. Jihoon shrugged his shoulders even though it seemed like he knew.
At the hotel we ran into Hyungwon, the hotelier, of course.
"Seems like you don't enjoy it anymore", he grinned as he saw us two.
"I didn't like it from the beginning", Jihoon replied cold. I looked confused between them, but Jihoon just went to the elevator so I quickly followed. We stopped at the sixth floor and walked through the hallway. We bumped into the facility manager and that guy with the fancy suit.
"Oh, hey new one and Jihoon", the facility manager greeted us.
"Hello, Boss", Jihoon greeted the man in the suit, coldly ignoring Minhyuk. So that's the CEO...
"Hey! I was always nice to you, you cold hearted monster", Minhyuk felt betrayed.
"You're not coming with us?", the CEO asked Jihoon. Jihoon shook his head as an response.
"Guess you got bored", the boss grinned.
"I'm just sick of it, Seungcheol", Jihoon bitterly said. The boss stopped grinning.
"See you then", he coldly bid goodbye and went away.
"You wanna come in my room?", Jihoon asked me.
"Hey! I was never allowed to enter your room even if I'm supposed to repair your stupid lamp!", Minhyuk claimed.
"We can play cards or something else if you want to", Jihoon suggested, completely ignoring Minhyuk. I just nodded, looking over to Minhyuk, who looked at me with disappointment."Ignore Minhyuk. That's the best way to prevent a ruined night by that talkative bird", Jihoon told me after we entered his room with the number 607. His room was designed like mine just that the basic colour was pastel green instead of beige. It was also surprisingly cleaned and organized.
"Do you want to drink something? Or are you hungry?", he asked me.
"Uhm, no I'm fine", I replied, sitting down on his bed since he pointed at it.
"So what do you want to do?", he asked me after pulling out a revolving chair from the desk turning it back towards me, but he still faced me.
"Actually I have a question", I announced. He looked at me with big eyes, which was so cute. "Y'all are talking about something the whole time and I wanna know what that is. Don't tell me you really do drugs", I said.
"What? No, they would never touch drugs. It's... something else. But you don't need to know", Jihoon exclaimed, standing up from the chair.
"But I want to know! You're making me so curious, do you know that?", I said squeezing Jihoon's pillow in my arms. A battle started with me trying to convince him and he trying to change my mind.
"Even if I prefer you don't know about it, I can't force you. So if you want to I can show you", he finally told me.
"Really?", I asked him, my eyes filled with excitement. Jihoon nodded and put a jacket on. I jumped up and followed him.We went back to the amusement park. We walked over to the horror ride. Behind that was the storage for spare parts under a big, yellow green tent. It was already dark so Jihoon put on the flashlight on his phone. I did the same. It was really dusty so I guess those spare parts were a little useless.
"Should I ask, why you're storage is behind the horror ride?", I jokingly asked Jihoon, but he didn't laugh or smile. He didn't even replied so I stayed quiet. It seemed like there was already a path made for them since the spare parts were divided like that.
"It's here", he suddenly said. He stopped at a sort of door made from the material of the tent. I looked at him excited, my curiosity peeking the highlight. He looked at me as if he wants me to open it. So I did. I grabbed the black leather and pulled it away, revealing...nothing.
There was nothing but a wall. A grey wall.
"There's nothing", I said disappointed, my excited smile fading drastically.
"What?", he quietly asked shocked and turned to the wall. His stare switched between me and the wall. Seemed like he saw something in there. Maybe he was the one taking drugs...
"The next time you try pulling a trick on me, do it the right way and add a jump scare", I shook my head and turned around, walking back.
"It wasn't a trick!", Jihoon exclaimed, quickly following me.
"You can stop acting now. It wasn't funny", I said still disappointed.
"But I wasn't...", Jihoon repeated, but shut up."Ah, right. I wanted to ask Chan earlier, but I forgot", I started as we walked through the dark amusement park.
"Keep talking", he said. We were headed to the food court. It's just my second day and I feel like I eat out too much.
"Why don't we have name tags?", I asked him.
"Don't know. Maybe Seungcheol is too lazy to do it because money is not a problem", Jihoon shrugged his shoulders.
"Are we allowed to adress him by his name?", I asked.
"In fact he wasn't the boss in the first place. He always came over to us since he was bored. His father was the CEO, but he recently passed away so he passed the amusement park down to him. He's still the same only a little more stressed", Jihoon explained. That's why he looks so young...We baught ice cream and sat down on the border. Wind lightly blew in my face.
"It's getting cold", Jihoon noticed, shaking a little bit.
"Yeah, it also feels like less customers are coming", I said, warming my hands with my breath. We sat there for a while, no one saying a word. Jihoon started yawning.
"You wanna go?", I asked him.
"Do you want to stay here in caratland? Like until your contract expires?", he changed the topic.
"Yes, of course. Why're you asking?", I questioned.
"Promise?"
"Okay, fine. But why?"
"You promised me. You have to stay now, you know that", he said, getting up from the spot.
"Okay, I got it. But why are you asking me that?", I asked again.
"Just because", he answered, obviously not telling the truth. He's making me curious again...
