You walk closer, intrigued by the boy and his pokemon. You watch from behind a rock and study the pokemon and the boy. He somehow looks familiar, like you've met him before.
He wore a red hat with black and yellow details with a white sheet tied around his neck to resemble a cape.
The ember his Litten used hit a rock that looked old and burnt, presumably from past moves.
"Great job litten you're getting stronger and someday we'll be able to use this Z-crystal that Elder gave us!" He excitedly giggled and his Litten meowed happily. You smiled a little feeling his happiness rub off on you. You then hear a noise and rumbling coming from your bag and suddenly your heart drops.
Not the pokemon! Not now!
Your breath quickens and you unzip the bag and the fox-like pokemon jumps out in your face. You grunt as it kicks off your face and onto the rock your hiding behind. It stands proudly and shouts the words "Zorua!"
"lets battle them!"
"what the..did you just talk to me?!" You started to back away from it, scared.
"Zorua Zorua!"
"Yes! let's do it!"
Your lip quivered and you let out a scream and the Zorua looked at you confused. There was then footsteps coming closer and closer to you. 'No No No this is bad!' you thought to yourself and you started to get nervous.
"Hey there! Woah you're the kid from the pokemon school right? I thought you didn't have a pokemon?"
"I um..I barely caught..it" You mumbled back,nervous.
"Woah really? It looks like a Zorua but it also doesn't, why?"
"I really don't know..Some scary people wanted to take him but i think they'd do bad things with him. They kept calling him shiny, I mean his coat is shiny but what does that have anything to do with anything?"
"Wait it makes sense now! He's a rare pokemon but a SHINY rare pokemon, anyone would want that!"
"..Really..?" You questioned, suprised.
"Yeah! Oh by the way wanna battle me and my litten?" He smiled excitedly at you.
"..Uh um.." You looked at Zorua for his opinion and he nodded excitedly "Ok fine we'll..battle you"
"Great! Let's start!" He started to run across the opening of the forest until he was a good distance away from you. "Come on Litten! Let's show them how strong we are!" The red and black cat jumped up and landed in front of him, looking proud and confident.
"Litten!"
"Zorua, Let's do this" Zorua smiled and jumped in front of you, looking equally confident as the Litten across from him.
Trainer Kukui wants to battle!
