Joe's POV
J-"How did you manage to keep the pregnancy a secret from me"
D-"Well, to be honest, I don't know"
J-"Do you know how far along you are"
D-"Not a clue"
J-"Is their doctors here"
D-"Yes it's Hawaii, we're not on a deserted island"
J-"Right, so are you still on board with moving here"
D-"Hey I was never on board and what's with all the questions?"
J-"Yes you were and I'll try to stop now"
D-"No my foot was about to reach the platform but hadn't yet"
J-"Okay well where are you on that anyway"
D-"I-I still don't know, it's even weirder and stranger than before now"
J-"Why"
D-"Now we have a baby on the way and are getting married and I still haven't met your family or talked to them and I haven't even known you for half a year yet"
J-"I see how that's strange"
D-"If you didn't I would be worried"
J-"But that's the way we are doing things and it works for us"
D-"Yeah, do you think your parents would actually like me"
J-"I'm pretty sure they'd be happy if I was dating anyone I haven't been very successful so far"
D-"..."
J-"Not that you're anyone because your not, oops I'm sorry I didn't mean it like that where are you going"
D-"To the toilet"
J-"Oh"
D-"..."
J-"Are you actually going to the toilet or are you just saying that so I'll leave you alone"
D-"Both"
J-"Come on I didn't mean it in that way"
D-"Joe I'm messing with you it's fine"
Moments like this I realise how much Dianne means to me because as soon as I think I've hurt her my heart drops.
D-"Joe I'm pregnant which means I'll need the toilet a lot more"
J-"I know, I know I love you"
D-"I love you too, we are gonna be parents"
J-"Has it only just sunk in now"
D-"Yeah I'm gonna be a mum and you're gonna be a dad"
J-"I'm gonna be a dad"
Dianne squealed with excitement which just made me laugh and love her even more. I can't believe I'm gonna be a dad.
J-"I think it's only just sunk in for me as well"
I sat down on the bed. I'm gonna be a dad. My life is going to change forever. Dianne and I are gonna be married and we are going to have a baby. This is insane. Hawaii is the greatest. I'm so happy. I don't even know what to say.
