Chapter 28

Matt's POV

"Guys! Carter just texted me! We just talked to him!" Aaron yelled running toward me.

Carter- Your right. Finding your precious Hailey in San Fransisco might be a little hard.

I ran my fingers through my hair with frustration. My sister is my world.

"We need to find her!" Caila said.

"I'll come!" Cameron yelled.

"No me!" Nash yelled. Bella playfully hit his arm.

"Okay. Okay. I'm choosing who comes with me to look for Hailey." I said. I looked over the crowd.

"Cameron, Aaron and Caila come with me." I said as they stepped forward.

"So what are we supposed to do? Wait around?" Jack G asked annoyed.

"Stay here and see if she texts or calls any of you. If she does, text me, Caila, Cam or Aaron." I said.

Cameron, Aaron, Caila and I started toward Aaron's car.

"So he went straight after talking to us and then took an immediate left." Aaron said pulling out of the hotel parking lot.

I was in the passenger side, Aaron was driving and Cameron was in the back with Caila. My leg was moving up and down uncontrollably.

"Babe we'll find her." Caila said with her hand on my shoulder. I looked back at her and smiled.

If I didn't find my sister I would die. Hailey is my world. We had to find her.

Hailey's POV

Carter pulled into a gas station in a rural area. There weren't many cars and there were a lot of trees and a mountain to the east.

"I have to get something, don't try anything stupid." He said shutting and locking the door. I watched him walk to the gas station.

I sat in the car for about a minute when I remembered that I had my phone with me. I pulled it out of my pocket.

The first person in my contacts was Bella.

Me - Bella! I really need you! Carter stopped at a gas station called Handy Mandy's. I'm scared! Help me.

I saw Carter coming out so I quickly turned off my phone and put it in my pocket. Carter got back in the car and threw a bag back at me.

"Here." He said. I looked into the bag and saw 2 cans of Mikes.

"What do you want me to do with these?" I asked holding them up.

"Are you that stupid? Drink them." He said starting the car. I opened the can and took a sip. Mikes are hella good.

I quietly pulled my phone out of my pocket and saw that I had a Twitter update.

@carter.reyno7ds - gonna have some fun tonight. #mikes

I looked up into the rearview mirror and scowled at Carter. I'm gonna have to be smart to win here.

"Carter, I've missed you a lot." I said to him sipping the Mikes again. He looked at me and smirked.

"Sure you have." He said pulling onto a dirt road.

"No I really have. I still love you Carter." I said biting my lip. Carter stopped the car and stepped out. He opened my door and pulled me out.

He lead me over to a wooden door in the ground. He opened it.

"Go down." He said pointing.

Bella's POV

Nash and I were sitting on the couch watching some stupid talk show. I couldn't bring myself to think badly of Hailey.

Yes she supposedly hated me all these years, but I need to help her.

"Nash, do you think Hailey's okay?" I asked him. He looked at me and smiled.

"Babe she'll be fine. She's a tough girl." He said kissing my forehead. My phone vibrated in my hand and I quickly pulled it out.

"It's a text from Hailey." I said opening the message.

Hailey Bear - Bella! I really need you! Carter stopped at a gas station called Handy Mandy's. Im scared. Help me.

"Nash! Text Matt and tell him that Hailey sent me a text at 12:43 saying that Carter stopped at some place called Handy Mandy's." I yelled jumping up. Nash pulled his phone out of his pocket and texted Matt.

"We have to find her Nash!" I said crying into his chest.

"We will babe." Nash said as we walked out the door to tell the others.
