(Carlos's POV)

Listen, so I'm Sheri's right-hand man when it comes to everything guardian related. I'm the one who has to support and advices her through her most tough and controversial decision. But right now, she's just freaking out over nothing. Like seriously, Leo may be a bit of a wuss sometimes, but he's not an idiot. He understand the situation, he's not a little kid. I just wished she eased back some more, she always makes me worried. I guess I can understand why she's so on edge right now, after all, she's about to change Leo's life.
Well anyway, we went to Leo's house and saw Ms. Cathy at the door. Ms. Cathy is pretty, she has green eyes covered by some glasses and long curly brown hair. She gave us a warm smile, but she seemed extremely happy that Sheri was there.
"Hey kids, you want any fruit punch or something to eat?" She asked. I shook my head, and Sheri did the same. Sheri then got up, and everyone in the room looked at her. Ms. Cathy smiled in confusion,
"Are you ok, Sheri?"
"Ms. Cathy, today is the day." Sheri said all serious-like. Ms. Cathy looked at her even more confused.
"I'm sorry Sheri I don't know what-" she stopped talking. It looked like she had come to a realization.
"How-how'd you know about that? Are you sure?" Ms. Cathy's bright green eyes started to droop. Sheri nodded and sat down.
"Yes. It is the day." Sheri finished.
"Why does everyone seem to know what's going on except for me?" Leo asked.
"You'll find that it's a general trend, Leonard." I joked. Leo looked towards his mother in what seemed like sadness."Mom...why didn't you say anything? Why did you fail to mention the identity of my father?" Leo asked. Ms. Cathy turned around and didn't look at Leo.
"That's because I didn't know, honey. I would've told you if I knew you would understand." She sighed. "I'll tell you the full story on how your father and I met." We all listened closely as she started to share her memory."During my time at university, I studied Computer Sciences, and your father did too. We met when he accidentally rammed me over while we were both rushing to the same class. Soon we became friends, then more, and we fell on love." She stopped and look at Leo.
"We wanted to get married, but your father told me he couldn't marry me because he was poor, and even though I didn't care, he told me he didn't want to disappoint me. So we lived together until we both got out of university and got jobs.""So where did I fit in?" Leo passive-aggressively asked her.
"I'm getting to that. We eventually had you, and you father loved you. About a year after you were born..." she stopped again, her voice breaking up. She slowly started to cry.
"...your father kissed me on the forehead, and told me that he had to leave me. At first I thought he was joking. But as he said more and more of his goodbyes, I realized he wasn't joking."

"I don't understand. Why now? Why are you telling me this now?"
"Because my times up my dear. I need to go back home. But home isn't anywhere close to here."
"Wait so can I call you?"
"No. People who come from here can't call me from where I'll be going."
"What about...our son?"

"He explained to me how he needed to go home, and I remember him telling me one day our son will see him again. He said one day, his disappearance will make sense." She looked towards us.
"Oh, and he did hint to me that he wasn't from this world a lot, which I'm going to assume is literal."
At this point, Ms. Cathy was bawling her eyes out, so Sheri went and hugged her, and I went to go get a tissue. Leo sat very still, he looked shocked. It was pretty quiet after that, until Sheri broke the silence.
"Ms. Cathy, as you already know, Leo isn't quite normal." Sheri started
"Thanks." Leo muttered.
"But with that being said, he isn't safe without proper training and a weapon that can suit him. Leo is a guardian, and he has to come and train to defend himself from any mishaps." Sheri explained."So what do you think should happen?" Ms. Cathy asked.
"Well Leo has two options, he could either just go train and then continue with his life after, or he could become a luxlum, which are part-time defenders of the dead and living." I explained. "Sheri and I are the leaders of the luxlum. She's the general and I'm her lieutenant, so we will be supervising all of this." I added.
"Of course, Leo can make that decision after he's done his training." Sheri noted. "Now Ms. Cathy, would you accept Leo to train with us?" She asked. Ms. Cathy store blankly.
"How do you know if he's ready?" She asked.Sheri's eyes lite up, probably meaning she has an idea.
"Leo? Has your watch ever glowen before?" Sheri asked. Leo shrugged.
"I'm not really sure, since I always thought it was the angle.
Sheri smirked and touched Leo arm. She then proceeded to smirk and then asked "Leo, I haven't noticed your shoulders, their so muscular..." she then grabbed it. "...and firm."
The look on Leo's face was priceless. He turned beet red and just store into Sheri's eyes. I turned away and started laughing, Sheri is such a bad flirt but that seemed to do the trick. And guess what? The watch started glowing.
