Hey Guys,
So this is my first story to be uploaded here and so I'm really eager to see what everyone thinks. I originally wrote this about a year ago so I'm afraid it's definitely not my best, but I still hope you'll enjoy it. Feedback would be awesome, and who knows? Maybe I'll be inspired.
.........................................
In a small town of only a few hundred citizens, the High School is notoriously run down. Children are given titles instead of names so as teachers are not forced to try too hard, less they be tempted to leave. Our protagonist this fine sunny day is Random Chick: newly blonde, with murky blue eyes and an attitude problem, she sits near the library with her new boyfriend Beau. Her two closest friends sit nearby and it is here that the story really begins.
Random Chick glances behind her only to see The Occasional Bitch and Cube Dude sharing a riveting conversation. She glances quickly back, hoping that Beau missed the movement. She was over Cube. Really.
"Nice weather we're having".
Oh god, those few words were still enough to give her shivers.
"Yeah".
Anger flared up in R.C. No, she should ignore them. Really. She didn't need him, not with her totally wonderful new boyfriend. And yet...
"So, I hear you're newly single..."
Reason, R.C. decided. That's what the situation needed, a little reason. Good. She would decapitate them both. No. Yes. Maybe.
"Don't go getting any ideas, now", the Bitch's most flirtatious tone rose through the trees.
Decapitation. Definitely.
Random Chick turned back and tuned back in to the conversation she was meant to be having with the boyfriend: Beau. She laughed and got the hint of the conversation surprisingly quickly; they were talking about a recent and culturally aware television show from the night before. Trying her all to ignore the way Cube had always been so much fun, she leaned into her boyfriend, only to feel the ground vibrate violently. The entire school gave another shudder and, holding back the temptation for screamage, R.C. felt her eyes widen. The stinging sensation of fast winds whipped around her and, appearing far too suddenly, an alien object from the sky came down, lower and lower and lower. Crash! With a noise rivaling that from a Bieber appearance, the large cylindrical object landed on the oval.
"Cube!" R.C. shouted. There was no time for subtlety. These could very well be some of her last moments on Earth. Glancing around and... He was gone. The ship, for that's what she now knew it to be: a spaceship, here for god knows what. She had to do something.
It was then that using her legendary wit some quick thinking skills and with terrible stupidity, Random Chick jumped aboard the ship, just as it rose high enough that Beau had no chance to stop her. She refused to look back into his brokenhearted face, and pulled a hatch aside, rolling just in time to stow away in the alien's laundry.
"You know, sometimes I wish I was better at puns. Seems like this would be a great time. You know? To relieve the tension..." Oh god, she was babbling. Shutting up immediately, R.C. finally heard the voices that had so far alluded her.
"Look, I'm telling you, there's no way I can stay here. There's no way. Oh my god, we're going to die, aren't we? Cube, help me."
"You think you have it bad? I'm missing the tri-state pool championships to be god knows where! I'm scared too; It's just not safe to do anything yet. I'm sorry Bitch..." He continued in a softer tone. "But for now we need to stay put."
Unable to listen to any more of the horrific bonding between her buds, R.C. reached into her back pocket only to pull out her beautiful pint-sized buddy, K. She whispered jokingly in her ear and was greeted with a sharp reply.
"I do too have an ass!"
With her friend now giving her the strength to continue to explore, Random bent down low and began searching the ship. Finding the room she was now sure had contained the voices, she entered. Only to find it like ever other room so far: stark, white and empty.
Shit.
"So, what do we do now?"
"Easy. We listen." Sighing, R.C. shut-up; if only to avoid voicing her true concerns. Not missing a beat, however, her friend caught the tone immediately and pounced.
"R, what's wrong honey?"
"Him. He-"
As Random was cut off, K immediately began to fall through the air. Her friend had fainted, and as she was crashing down, fear gripped K's heart like nothing ever had before. Wishing herself away, she had only enough strength to lift her head. Only to see what could only be alien technology brimming with power pointed point-blank at her friends head. It was then that K, too, collapsed.
....
As she woke, R.C. finally began to feel the chains cutting into her, agitating her bruised skin, cold and wet with perspiration. On the platform above the large auditorium where they lay sat Gigi Carrot, laughing mercilessly. She looked down, opened her mouth, and let loose her terrible wit.
"So does Walmart still have that deodorant I like? You know the one..."
"You mean the new Rafa-Scent-Sation? Now, it's a Body Spray!" Replied a deep and booming voice in the shadows.
It was then that R.C. writhed at the booming words, finally spotted Cube Dude and The Occasional Bitch. They were talking hurriedly, though exactly what they were saying was a mystery. She turned back, this was no time for daydreaming.
"So, what exactly are you planning to do to us?" Random asked, finding her voice.
"Hmmm? Oh, I hadn't really thought about it. I only wanted the others. You- You were just collateral damage..."
"Maybe I have an idea then, boss."
The deep voice was coming closer. R was soon covered in shivers of a completely different type to those inspired by Cube.
"Oh, go on then."
"So, R..."
The voice mocked.
"You're going to be doing a little bit of a sing-a-long. See this? This is my song-o-meter. If you're good enough the arrow will reach to the 10. If not... well, you can say hello to my other little friend. Mr Acid that Will Burn Through Even Your Bone Marrow. Sound like fun?"
