We parked in a big field, filled with tall grass. The boys set out to cutting out a patch of grass, while I found wood for a fire,

“Isn’t this trespassing?” I asked Riley, who was cutting out the grass behind me,

“Yup. Why do you think we're hiding behind the grass?” That’s actually kind of smart. Kind of.

After about an hour of cutting grass, we finally had a big enough space to hide us and the fire. We backed our cars up to the patch,

“Sorry about my whining today.” I said, really feeling bad. I wasn’t normally like that, but it was just something about Tony that made me mad,

“Don’t worry. We're all used to dealing with bitches.” Jaiy chuckled, “So, no need to feel bad.”

We sat there for a while, watching it get darker and darker around us,

“Man, its amazing out here...” Tony gazed up at the stars,

“Don’t get all mushy on us, Tony! Don’t go to the dark side!” Greg smacked his back.

I smiled at them, and Riley noticed,

“Whoa, Charlie. I think shes gonna kill us tonight, over here grinning like an ax murderer.” Everyone laughed, including me,

“Well, you never know.” I smirked at him, “But if it were true... You'd be the first to go.”

“Ooh, Riles. Better watch out tonight.” Shane waved his hands in mock fear,

“Yeah, shes got that evil glint in her eyes...” Tony stared awkwardly into my eyes, “And since when were your eyes green?” I laughed,

“Since... forever?”

Greg got up and opened the impalas trunk, pulling out two bottles,

“Who’s thirsty!?” The guys cheered, all except Riley. He grimaced. He hated alcohol because his father was a drunk, and he beat Rileys mom after a late night of drinking,

“Where'd you get that?” He asked,

“From my moms cupboard! You know, she really should lock that thing.” Greg’s voice was dripping with sarcasm, “Here.” He handed everybody a cup, and started pouring, and gave himself the most. I looked over at Riley, his face was now unreadable. That’s what always happened if he felt hurt or mad,

“I wont drink if you wont.” I whispered, resting my head on his shoulder,

“Thanks, Char. But you don’t have to do that.”

I shook my head, “I wouldn’t do that to you.” But I do have to say that, if I had gotten a drink, it would have probably been the funniest thing all day. I was a VERY tipsy drunk.

Greg and Tony started having a drinking contest, Jaiy behind them chanting,

“Chug! Chug! Chug!”

Shane stood up,

“Well, I'm gonna sleep now. G'night.” He walked to the truck and crawled into the backseat. I stood up, too,

“That sounds like a good idea. If you want, you can stay in the truck tonight, so you don’t have to be by dumb, dumb, and dumber.” I waved my thumb their way. Riley shook his head,

“I better keep an eye on them.” His face still unreadable.

I felt so bad for him,

“Okay... Night, then.” I ruffled his hair, and he gave me a half hearted smile.
