New OC! (New story plan?)

The long-awaited Black Diamond is finally here in all his glory!

Black Diamond is, you probably guessed, made completely out of Black Diamond!
His skin, his hair, his eyes, everything!
His sword is even made of Diamond!
That being said, he a shiny boi.
I need to learn how to shade crystals and stuff like that.
Now, a little disclaimer; no, he is not a Steven Universe OC or a Houseki no Kuni OC, he is an original OC not part of any fandom. I may have gotten inspiration from them, but he has no link to either of these shows.
That being said, I'll give you the basic story of what this whole thing is gonna be about;
Basically, crystals, gems, minerals, and all those shiny, glorified, expensive, and important rocks are alive and sentient. They've evolved to have relatively human forms and act like a normal human.
The only difference from them and humans would be the fact that they're, well, crystals.
So humans have made it a thing to catch them and harvest them.
By harvest, I mean like... steal pieces of them to create stuff.
To put that into perspective; they'll use tools to carve into them, break them, and sometimes even completely shatter them.
From those pieces taken by them, they create what needs to be created.
Obviously, the process of harvesting them is really fucking painful, and most of them will resort to making deals with their captors, and they'll do anything for them just so that they aren't harvested or anything.
Some choose to fight against the humans, but since it seems that humans are winning, most of them accept their fate or try to hide.
Very rarely will they try to pass as humans, because it very rarely works.
They don't have any blood, so when you cut into them, all you see is the crystal, all polished and beautiful despite the pure agony that comes with seeing their insides.
