Chapter 40. Back To Class

          Previously On "Man Made"

          "Look, I don't want any of you to be scared of me. How about before the movie, we talk some. I'll even answer some questions depending on what they are. All I ask is that you don't tell anyone what you might hear tonight." (Y/n) said, surprising the group.

          "Don't worry (Y/n)! I will definitely save you!" Daichi declared, surprising (Y/n).

          After that, the conversation had been finished. The girls decided to hold off on a few of their question so (Y/n) could have a break. They then watched their movie. About half way through, Daichi fell asleep and her head fell onto (Y/n)'s shoulder. At around this same time, (Y/n) had fallen asleep and his head fell onto hers. The other girls decided to place a blanket over them and let them have their rest.

3rd Person P.O.V. Following (Y/n)

          It is 6:04am, the morning after the conversation between (Y/n), Kyouka, Mina, Eiko, and Daichi. Waking up at around this time regularly, (Y/n) began to stir awake.

          "Where am I?" (Y/n) questioned to himself, recalling the events of last night.

          "I must have fallen asleep." (Y/n) rationalized.

           He was about to get up until he realized there was a weight on his shoulder. Looking over, he saw Daichi was asleep and her head was resting on his shoulder. Immediately he saw her peaceful face resting without a care in the world, and the few strands of hair that covered her face, as well as her pillowy lips, which were slightly opened so she could breathe.

          "Beautiful." (Y/n) unconsciously said aloud, in a moment quite unusual for the boy.

          Almost immediately, he felt his face heat up a little after realizing what he had just said.

          "Wait what?! What am I thinking? I mean, she is beautiful, but..  Agh! What's going on?" (Y/n) thought to himself, unsure of what he was feeling.

          Deciding to get away from the situation, (Y/n) got up, careful to not wake up Daichi, and went to his room. In an attempt to distract himself, he started his morning routine. Fortunately, the exercise helped him to clear his mind.

*Time Skip*

          Eventually, the next day had come and it was time for students to head back to class. However, before the students did, the first year class was called into an open field for a small assembly. All the 1st year students are lined up, their teachers standing on a stage. After a few minutes the teachers begin their opening ceremony, which (Y/n) promptly drones off during the entire speech, right up until the end. His attention is brought back to the teachers by a series of incoherent, seemingly rabid, noises. Looking up, (Y/n) sees hound dog on the stage. She's a pro hero who had the qualities of a dog. She is also the U.A. High life-style guidance counselor. While she was giving her "speech," Vlad Queen walked up and put her hand on her shoulder, prompting Hound Dog to step back.

          "What Hound Dog was trying to say was: Saturday night, two students got into a fight. Right now, they are both under house arrest. We bring this up to reinforce that such behavior will not be tolerated and now that we have our dorm system, we teachers are able to keep a much better eye on you. That is all. Thank you." Vlad Queen explained her friends words, as if they were easy to understand.

          "She was able to understand that?" Was the general thought among the students.

          "I guess that's why Isami and Katsumi aren't here. I wonder who won." (Y/n) thought to himself.
