"How do you know Ailee?" Calum asks. "She's my attorney. And your ex-wife." I say. "Why you sneaky bitch. I bet she told you everything. Didn't she?" Calum asks. "No she didn't. We actually sat down and had coffee and talked about life and then we talked about how I can get out. Or did the other cop tell you something else?" I tilt my head innocently. "The cop told me that there was lots of screaming. What were you two "discussing"? He puts air quotes. "We were discussing how much my bail is and how long I have in here." I lie. There is no way in hell I'm telling him we talked about Ailee and her abusive and manipulative relationship. "Mhm sure you did. If I have to lie to add to your sentence so you tell me what you tell really talked about, then so be it. But I'll be damned if you try to tell anyone, and I mean anyone, what happened between Ailee and I." Calum walks away.

"What an asshole." I whisper. "Yeah no kidding." someone behind me says. I whip around really fast, my fists balled up. "Whoa whoa, calm down there Karate Kid. I'm not going to hurt you." it says again. "And who might you be?" I ask. "I'm Jay. Park Jay. And you?" he says.

Now I don't know how New York's jail works, but I'm sure males and females are supposed to separate in any prison... but I'm not complaining.

"I'm Y/N. Aren't males and females supposed to be separated in prison? Ya know in case they try fucking or the guy tries raping her?" I shiver. "Yeah, but it's different here, for some odd reason. But don't worry, I won't harm you. As a matter of fact, I was sleeping peacefully until you waddled in here." he scoffs. "Oh my gosh. I am so sorry for interrupting your beauty sleep." I scoff while rolling my eyes. "Shut up. You just got here and you're already annoying." He says. "Make me." I bite back.

I had no idea what I was getting myself into. "Come again?" Jay says. "I said 'Make me'." I kept egging it on because I was clueless. "You'll regret saying that." he growls. "Oh no I'm so scared." I lay down on one of the beds and slowly fall back asleep.

~ TIME SKIP TO 12 AM ~
I felt some sort of air on my skin. Specifically my neck. I didn't want to move or make any sudden moves in case whatever it was was threatening.

"Don't be scared. I don't bite." Jay says. I may have only met him a few hours ago, but I recognize his voice crystal clear. "What are you doing?" I ask. "I got cold so I came over here." I could feel the smile against my neck. "Sir, we met 3 hours ago. We aren't at the cuddling state yet. And I'm married, well not yet but you get the idea." I say as I push him off. "Ouch. You shouldn't have done that." he says.

I open my eyes and see red eyes beaming back at me. My heart started beating faster and faster as the eyes got closer and closer to me. Eventually, the eyes were in front of my eyes. A low growl floated through the air.

"I'm sorry. I didn't mean to make you angry. Just please don't hurt me." I whimper. "You should have thought about that before you pushed me." Jay says. I feel a piercing pain in my neck. "Owww! Get off of me you psycho!" I push him once again, only the feel my skin tear. "Fuck! Did you fucking bite me?" I hold my neck. "You taste amazing. I'm coming back for more."

I couldn't see his eyes, which made me panic frantically. The eyes, red and full of anger and thirst, locked with mine. I kicked him. "Oh you're a feisty one. I like that." He jumps on top of me and pins me as he sinks his teeth into my neck.

"Hey hey! Y/N, wake up." someone says. I open my eyes, bolting up, feeling my neck. No bite marks. "Are you ok? You were screaming really loud telling something to go away and stop biting you." Jay asks.

I move away from him. "Stay away from me." I shake. "I'm trying to help you. You act like I'm trying to bite you or something." he rolls his eyes, turning over to go back to sleep. My eyes grew big and wide. My heart stopped beating.

"Go back to sleep. And be a little  quieter this time." Jay says with an attitude.

"I can't feel anything. Jay, I can't feel anything!" I yell. He quickly gets up and rushes to me. It was around 5 or 6 AM. The sun was slowly peaking through the cell bars.

"What's wrong? Are you ok? Hey, hey look at me." he starts to lightly tap my cheek. I could feel my body giving up. "I can't feel my legs or any other part of my body... What's wrong with me?" I ask. I started to cry and hyperventilate. "Deep breaths. In and out."

My eyes started rolling back and my legs were swept from underneath me. "Y/N, stay with me. Help! Help! She's having a seizure. She's flopping around like a fish." Jay screams.

Jay's POV
Two cops came running in the cell. "Up against the wall. You know the rules." I obey the officer. "Her mouth is foaming and her pulse is getting slower. We have to get her to the doctor and right now!" One officer shouts. Both officers pick up Y/N and carry her out of the cell. I was left by myself, again. I started crying. I had only met this girl a day ago and I'm already worried she won't make a year in prison. She doesn't even deserve to be in here. If it was all self defense like she says, then they should let her go. It isn't fair to keep someone locked up for something that was an accident. But I'm just an inmate with an unpopular opinion.
