Chapter 18

After a few days of comforting Marcassin and giving Swaine his space the group wait outside of Swaines room waiting for him.

Esther:(quietly) I wonder what's taking Swaine so long?

Emma:(Heard Esther) Well he is probably still coping he just saw his dad die right in front of him you and Lord high lords of the big mouths wouldn't know.

Rosie: Yeah you don't just get over a parents death and expect to be fine in a few days it takes a lot of time to move on.

Esther:(feeling embarrassed well she knows that Oliver have seen his mom died in front of him as for Emma and Rosie well...she didn't know much about them they are hiding something she can tell as soon as she has the chance she will ask them about where they came from)

Drippy: I just can't believe that he's Gascon the air to all of Hamlin my mind is boggled beyond
Belief mun.

Oliver: I guess he didn't want us too know Huh?

Esther: I guess so.

Emma: I'll go check on him.

Oliver: Are you sure Emma? He mite be just having a moment.

Emma: He's my friend I can handle him.

Emma then walks to his door and knocks it.

Emma: Swaine it's me Emma are you ok?

The door is unlocked so Emma walks in and sees Swaine siting on his bed.

Swaine: I'm not sure I mean I thought my dad just died of old age which is why I needed to get back to Hamlin I never would have thought he died from Shadar.

Emma:(sits by Swaine then hugs him) I know I understand it's hard but we are here for you Oliver, Esther, Me, Rosie, and like it or not Drippy we are here for you.

Swaine:(smiles then hugs her back) Thanks Emma I'm happy I've met you.

Emma: I'm happy I've met you too.

We cut back to the group waiting for Swaine and Emma.

Rosie:(I cant believe that Emma volunteered to check on Swaine. I wonder if she loves him? Well I will have to ask Swaine if he loves her because I know Emma would not want to answer me that question)

Drippy: You know it won't be the same now that we know Swaine is a prince.

Oliver: Well I'm gonna act like I don't know.

Esther: Me too unless Swaine wants to talk about it I'm not going to say a word.

Rosie: I won't say anything either.

Drippy: Me? Oh you don't need to worry about me I would have forgotten all about this in a bit. If there is one thing I'm good at it's forgetting.

Swaine: Sorry to keep you waiting.

Oliver: Swaine.

Emma: No need to apologize.

Swaine: I suppose it's time too go but I need to say goodbye to Marcissin first.

Rosie: Ok we can do that.

The group then walk back to the palace to see Marcissin.

Marcissin: I guess today's the day you go?

Esther: Yes you're majesty thank you for everything.

Marcassin: No, no I should be thanking you. You helped me become the era of my fathers place and I will create a good future here.

Swaine: You make a fine emperor Marcissin Gascon would be proud of you.

Marcassin: Yes and I will make sure this place is safe for him to return and I will help people believe in our future and to not fear.
