THE morning was gray and cold as always, it seemed like the weather never wanted to change.
Even despite the change of season it was always gray skies, and cold days.
He didn't mind though, He loved the rain. "Kairi!"
His head did a small spin towards the front gates of his school where Alvaro, Ale, and, roshaun were.
"Hi guys!" Kairi smiles his cute little smile and ran all the way to his best friends. "By the way Kai, guess who's back?" Kairi looked at the small boy known as Alvaro with nothing but confusion.
But the moment he seen a tall slender, short haired Robert step out from behind the school gates his eyes brightened and he ran to his other best friend.
"R-Robert!" He yeeted his backpack wherever and jumped into the 6'4 boys arms almost making him tumble. "Hey bubba, did you get taller?"
Kairi glared at the tall boy "Shut the frick up brat" All the boys laughed until a cough was heard to the right.
"Oh, hey Mattia." Robert gently put down Kairi and let the small boy walk up to Mattia.
As Kairi went in for a hug Mattia pushed him away.
"Dude what are you doing?" Kairi stopped and stared at Him along with the others. Everyone knew about Kairi and mattias hugs.
Every morning they would hug each other and never let go but today, today was different.
Despite the awkwardness Kairi found his way back to the others.
"L-look who's back" Mattias body fumed with anger and jealousy when he seen his best friend hugging Robert.
"Sup" Despite being pissed he held out his hand for the other to shake and he did.
"Ay mattia, hows it been?" Mattia just shrugged "ight I'm off, see y'all later." As the y'all Italian boy walked away Kairi stared at his back with eyes of sadness.
"That's weird. He never pushes you away."
"I-it's fine, maybe he's just upset. Or sick." Kairi thought of every single possible reason as to why Mattia pushed him away.
But with each answer he got it still hurt.
Why wouldn't he tel him he's hurting? Or if something's wrong, I mean he is his best friend after all right?
For a while they all sat there, confused Kairi was upset and confused but his thoughts were interrupted when the school bell rang.
"Cmon Robert I'll show you around to all your classes." All the guys knew Kairis feelings were hurt, but he just decided to avoid talking about it. "Kai-" "I'm fine Robert. Let's go please."
Robert decided to just leave it alone and follow the smaller boy, "So how was Palm Springs ?" "It was amazing. I-I met someone but we only talked for a little bit." Kairi stopped dead in his tracks
"You actually caught feelings?" Robert laughed and nodded. "Yea, she's really funny and sweet but she's also kind of well known where she's from and-"
"-And you're worried she'll forget all about you." "Yea." Kairi stood in front of Robert and smiled at him softly. "Listen Kairi, I'm sorry I couldn't return your feelings I-"
"It's fine Robert. I'm over it. I'm just glad we can be friends." They hugged and walked past a janitors closet where they heard very lewd sounds.
When the door opened it felt as if Kairis heart had been shattered. His life had fallen apart in front of his eyes.
Him and Robert has his behind the wall so the two couldn't see them.
