No One
THE night was cold and dark as the wind touched Kairi's soft skin.
"Hello?" Kairi wasn't sure if this was the right thing to do but he just had to do it. "I-it's Kairi."
"Oh, what the hell do you want?" Kairi was trying to keep his tears from falling. He knew it was a bad idea from the beginning but he just didn't know who to turn to.
"We need to talk." Kairi could feel the tension from the other side of the screen.
"And why should I?" ,, "P-please." Silence was all Kairi could hear on the other side of the phone. "I'm coming. Turn on your snap location."
Kairi hung up turning on his location and letting the other know when he did so.
No later than 15 minutes a black Nissan pulled into the parking space for their local park.
"Why'd you call?" Kairi wiped his tears on his sleeve as he looked up at his ex-best friend.
"Cynthia I was cheated on." The girl looked at him with sorrow in her eyes.
Though they had a rough fallout she still cared for the small wasian.
"It's ok baby. You can cry." She sat besides him hugging his small figure while he cried on her shoulder.
"Whoever she is I promise I'll get them back-" "It wasn't a girl." Cynthias eyes widened in both shock and curiosity. "W-well whoever he is, he doesn't deserve you."
"Who was it?" Kairi' breath got caught in his throat. He knew she would be curious but he just hoped it wouldn't have been so soon.
"I-I'm sorry Cynthia I really am."
Cynthia smiles softly knowing exactly who it was.
"It was Mattia wasn't it?" Kairi nodded as tears slipped down his cheeks. "I'm sorry." "It's ok. I already kind of knew." Kairi really appreciated Cynthia for helping him.
"What'd he do baby?" "I-Robert and I walked in on him having sex with some girl. Then later I seen him kissing another behind the school. It hurts so much."
Cynthia pulled the smaller into a tight hug. "Mattia doesn't deserve you Kairi. Not one bit. I-I'm sorry for everything. I should've never let him get between us."
Kairi smiled and whispered a small 'it's ok.'
After about an hour after talking at the park Cynthia offered to walk Kairi home but he refused, saying he wants to go back a little later.
They hugged and split up going their own ways. Kairi decided to stop at a bridge on his way home. Nothing too crazy, he just wanted to enjoy the view of the night sky.
After a while he felt his phone buzz in his pocket.

Your brother called saying you weren't home so I checked your snap location 🤷♀️🤷♀️.
Oh okay. And I just wanted to go for a walk. Get some air.
Stay where you are, I'm coming.
Robert no it's already past 1. I'll be fine.

Kairi smiled softly in defeat. This was exactly the reason Kairi fell for the y'all boy.
He wasn't dirty, or a fuckboy. He was a sweet, respectful, kind giant who wouldn't hurt a fly.
Kairi just loved everything about him. Well used to.
"Kairi!" Kairi turned around with a big smile on his face. "Hi Robert." The tall boy wrapped his arms around Kairi pulling him into his chest.
"Hey bub." Robert looked down at the small boy and smiled at him. "Why are you out here all alone?"
"I was thinking." "About what?" Kairi just stared into Roberts eyes. "Was it Mattia?" Kairi nodded feelings tears roll down his face.
"Don't cry bub, he doesn't deserve your beautiful tears."
"I really cared for him. What did I do wrong?" "You didn't do anything wrong Kai. Some people just can't see pure perfection even when it's in the palm of their hand."
Kairi smiled softly hugging the other one last time before saying goodbye.
