Chapter 11 : One more ride?

Few days later, at Luke's house

"What do we do now? We go at the race or not?", Damien asks.
"I don't know. If I win, I go straight to the deathly race in 2 years", I say.
"We know that. That's why we're asking you"

So to understand what are we talking about. There will be a race, obviously, and it will be selected the best racers. Who wins goes straight to the deathly race.

"Fuck it! We're going", I say.
"You need to talk with Alex, to prepare your car"
"Yeah I know"

At Alexis's house

Beep! Beep! Beep!

I stopped the alarm and lazily I get up from the bed. I go to the bathroom where I do my morning routine and I change into another underwear after a quick shower. I change into blue jumpsuit, I put on my black Adidas sneakers, I take my phone and I go downstairs to the bathroom, where May is drinking coffee.

"Morning", I say.
"Morning. How did you sleep?"
"Good. Even if it was for 3 hours, I guess"
"I didn't tell you to stay with Luke until 5 A.M"
"Yeah I know"

Let's just say that I went again with Luke for a ride

"So what are your plans for today?"
"I have to finish repairing a Ford", I say.
"Can I come with you?"
"Yeah, sure"

At the garage

"May can you give me the yellow screwdriver?"
"Sure. Here"
"Thanks"

"Alex, you're here?", I hear Luke's voice.

I raised my head, but I forgot that I'm under a car and I hit my head.

"Fuck! Damn it", I said getting out
"Are you alright?", Luke asks.
"Yeah, I am. It hurts a little bit, but I will be okay"
"Maya, can you leave us a little bit alone?"
"Yeah, sure. Just be careful what are you two doing"
"May", I bark.
"What?", she says and she leaves winking at me.

"So, what's with you here?", I ask.
"We need to talk"
"Okay, about what?"
"I need your help. I need you to take care of the Demon for a race", he says.
"Okay with one condition", I say.
"What's that?"
"I'm driving"
"Hell no. Are you nuts or what?"
"You didn't tell me this last time. I drive the car or you can leave"
"Fine damn it. Are you always so stubborn?"
"Ask my parents. They know better"
"Oh Gosh. But I need to tell you something"
"And that is?"
"If you win, in 2 years you do at the deathly race"
"That race when you fight with someone to death, if both of you win the race?"
"Yeah, but how do you-"
"I heard rumors about it"
"So, then what will you do?"
"We'll go"
"Thank you", he says hugging me.
"You don't have to. Um, what about you call the boys and come over at my house to watch some movies?"
"That will be great"

At Alexis's house

"Are you really going to the race?", Eli asks.
"Yes. And yes, I know about the deathly race. I've heard rumors about it"
"Those aren't rumors. This is the truth. People died", Damien says.
"Well, glad that I won't die", I say.
"Guys let's stop talking about that fucking race" ,says May.

"What movie do we watch?", Eli asks.
"I found some horror. I hope you guys don't mind", May answers.
"Sounds interesting", I say getting comfortable on the couch.

Then the movie started and we watched it with laughs and throwing at each other popcorn.
I caught Luke looking at me. He smiled at me and I couldn't help but smile back at him.

This boy is such an amazing person.

And one thing is for sure, that I fall in love with him. Damn!
