The prophecy

37 3 3

I had a lover once, who's name,
was possibility
Of whom I loved with all my heart
And miss eternally

His curly hair was short and dark
His body was sublime
We loved each other fierce and free
And will for all of time

His eyes shone violet flecked with blue
His shoulders broad and square
A circlet rested on his brow
Where sat a garnet fair

His lips were full, a bow of blood
His nose was straight and strong
His cheeks were rose and granite hewn
His voice was like a song

His arms were strong and shapely
Like none I'd seen before
And none that I will ever see
Again, forever more

His love showed me the truth of life
A thing from good and bad
That glows with radiance of youth
Which was more than I had

But on the morrow, away he went
Back to lands of flame
But by our love, I'll stand above
Wild and untamed
