Limping forward in the darkness, Harry could not even muster enough energy to cast a single Lumos. He moved ahead in the meagre light coming from the street light at the crossing ahead. Gathering the last of his energy, he raised his hand up and stuck his wand forward.

The Knight Bus came to a jarring halt in front of him after a few seconds but in these few seconds ,Harry had collapsed and fallen down. His throat felt like a desert and his head felt as if someone was hammering it from the inside.

When Stan, the conductor of the Knight Bus, came out chattering in one strain as usual, he didn't even notice Harry at first. Harry reached out with difficulty and tapped his toes.

When Stan looked down, he was terrified. "What's happened to you mate? Are you alright? No, of course you aren't. How silly of me...I'm rambling, ain't I? I'm sorry I didn't notice ye mate, lemme help ye up."

And Harry in true Harry fashion started refusing the offer of help and began getting up himself but Stan wasn't having any of it. He lifted Harry up and laid him down on one of the beds. Harry lost consciousness immediately.

When he woke up, he was startled. He felt someone stroking his hair and massaging his head lovingly. Even though he hadn't opened his eyes yet, but he could somehow tell the hand was a feminine one and familiar somehow.

When he tried to open his eyes, a hand was placed above his eyes and he heard a melodic voice say, " Not to worry, Harry, you're not to worry. I'll take care of you."

Trusting his luck enough not to put him in another hardship after such a traumatic experience, he decided to go with the flow and let what was taking place happen. This was, unwittingly though, but still the best decision Harry had made in his entire life. Closing his eyes completely, the last thing he saw was an angelic halo of brown hair and startling chocolaty eyes.
