Sirius was worried sick. There had been no sign of Harry since last week. All the members of the Order had been searching for him frantically but to no avail. And Sirius swore that if Dumbledore told him not to worry one more time, then he would knock him out the muggle way.
How was Sirius not supposed to worry? Harry was his godson. He was supposed to be his guardian but at every turn, there had always been one thing or the else standing in his way of being with and protecting Harry.
He had demanded time and again that Harry should be brought to Grimmauld Place if he was to be protected and kept safe but Dumbledore always brushed him off as if he was a petulant child making irrational and stupid demands.
And now Harry had been kidnapped. Dumbass accused him of not understanding but it took the kidnapping for Wrinkle-face to acknowledge that Harry wasn't safe and should be brought to Grimmauld place.
Sirius took a deep breath and poured himself some firewhiskey. It was the only thing that was preventing him from getting pissed off and throwing ou the entire Order.
The notebook in front of him glared at him. He had sat in his father's study, now his study for the last 17 hours trying to come up with ideas and plots to find Harry. There were many ideas which seemed unreasonable, some seemed doable but he simply needed the opportunity to sneak out which was highly improbable right now.
With Harry abducted, Dumbass strongly suspected that Sirius would try something so he always had eyes on him. He had been expressly forbidden from exiting the house under the pretense of the precaution being for his own safety.
But Sirius knew that the Headmaster had something planned and Sirius' interference would spoil his plans. So Sirius simply walked out of the study and went to his room. The entire time he felt eyes on him.
The moment he reached his room, he collapsed on his bed and held his head in his hands. His entire body shook with nerve wracking sobs as he lamented his actions. He had not only failed his brother, sister and friend but also his ward, his godson. Now he had no idea where Harry was or in what state.
- Meanwhile in the Chakravarty household-
Mr. Chakravarty was frantically pacing in his study. He was very worried for his old friend's kid and even more concerned for Eva. He did not know how to help him and he knew that Eva wouldn't sleep or rest a wink until she helped Harry. It just wasn't in her nature.
He tried to brainstorm as much as he could and finally came up with a solution. He took out something from an old vintage shelf. The item was well packaged in brown paper. He took it out and then called for Harry and Eva.
-Back to Grimmauld Place-
Sirius was deep in his thoughts when a sudden ringing came from his nightstand. It was coming from an old compartment he hadn't touched in years.
It seemed familiar so he pulled the compartment open and brought out a ringing mirror. Then Sirius remembered. The mirror was a way in which he,James and Remus communicated with another honorary member of the Marauders, Rajiv Chakravarty.
He had been in the same year as them in Hogwarts and had been an extremely dear friend. But he hadn't reached out to him in years. What reason could he have had to get in touch now?
Sirius wondered about it.and then decided to answer the mirror call because Rajiv was someone he explicitly trusted not to betray him. If he was trying to get in touch, then he must have had a good reason to do so.
