New York City, a city full of love, curiosity, and all kinds of emotions. Where your dreams can come true even if you don't have the means to do it. Many young teens dream of becoming more than what their parents are. And that is what the eight kids that will soon be known as the Protectors.

A young boy with blonde hair and blue eyes was in the hallway of a rich, preppy school making out with a tall girl with wavy long blonde hair and nice green eyes. When the boy pulled away, the girl asked, "What's the matter, Logan? Did I do something wrong?"

"Nope, I just think we should go back to class before a teacher spots us. If my parents found out about me skipping class, I would be in so much trouble." Logan told the blonde girl.

"Okay, understandable, I guess...let's get back to Geometry class. Woot. Woot," The blonde said sarcastically as she held out her hand and Logan took it, being lead back to the classroom stealthily.

There was a brown haired guy with green eyes covered by some black rimmed glasses, who was very skinny and tannish from his Mexican heritage, sitting at a computer during a class trying to figure out something about himself. When the teacher started to walk in his direction, the guy closed the tab and looked up at his teacher saying, "Oh, hey Mr. Brighton. How was your weekend?"

"Mr. Santiago, you have never asked me that, but it was quite wonderful." said Mr. Brighton. He has a British accent that makes him seem so proper. When the older teacher started to walk back to his desk, the young guy opened the tab back up on his computer. It was a website on if someone could move things with their minds or not. He was reading an article on a person named Jenna Heathers: a woman of mystery who could move things with her mind.

The door opened to the classroom so the guy looked up to see an Asian teen guy who smiled at the guy sitting at the desk. "Hey Sora, come over here." The guy at the desk said and gestured for him to come over and sit down. The Asian guy named Sora went and sat right next to the guy.

"Danny, what are you looking at?" Sora said. "No, not again. What if someone caught you looking at this? You do know the school watches everything you search up." Sora said a little to loudly resulting in some weird looks.

"Jenna is a myth, you are the real deal. You have the ability to move things without touching them and that is so cool." Sora said to Danny.

"Yeah, it is, but I can't just use my whatever it is whenever, that's why I want to learn." Danny replied. The bell rang which indicated ending of the class. Danny and Sora both got up heading out of the classroom and walking down the hallway seeing people that they lost touch with. An African-American girl with all the friends in the world with a fashion company that she will most likely inherit, another girl who is a mini police officer waiting to go to police cadet training school, a girl from Hawaii with doctors for parents, another white girl with athletic prowess that was better than anyone's, and two brothers that are rich and popular. Those are the people Danny passes by everyday at school, kids he used to be best friends with.

"Brooklyn, love the dress, so 90s chic." said a black girl with long braids to another black girl as they walked down the hallways.

"Thanks Gabbie," Brooklyn expressed while she looked at Gabbie's outfit. "Yours is cute as well." Brooklyn lied as she entered the girl's bathroom.

"Hey, Krystal, did you get the you know?" Brooklyn asked the girl standing in front of the sink in the bathroom. Krystal nodded handing over a bag of small little pills.

"Your mommy wouldn't like all this...Brookie, give me the money you owe me." Krystal said as Brooklyn handed over a one hundred dollar bill and took the pills real quick from Krystal. Krystal left the bathroom leaving Gabbie and Brooklyn in the bathroom alone.
