Beth POV
I'm pregnant for 34 weeks now. I'm so happy that it's finally gonna happen. Daan and I will get a child and I'm very excited for what will come. I stopped playing soccer. It was a very difficult choice for me but but I wanted to focus entirely on my family. I sit on the couch, watching a movie. Daan is at training. It's very difficult for me that she isn't much at home. She is almost always away from home. I feel some stabs in my stomach. It's the baby. I lay my hand down on my stomach and rub it softly. ''Hey little darling of me.'' I whisper softly. The stabs hurt but I don't care about that. It's just fine to know that she's here, that I'm not alone.
I wake up from someone coming inside. Apparently I fell asleep on the couch. I look at the hallway door, he opens. ''Hey sweetie! Everything still oké?'' asks Daan who walks into the living room. She gives me a quick kiss. ''Yes, everything okay. How was training?'' ''Good, but I feel still very guilty about I have to leave you alone every time... '' says she. She looks sad at the ground. I grab her hand and rub it softly. ''It's okay hun, I know that you have to focus on soccer. I'm totally okay with that, it's fine.'' I smile at her. Actually it really isn't fine or okay. It's horrible to be alone almost every day. I wish I could spend a little more time with her, but I know it can't and that makes me sad. I lost in my thoughts.
''Earth to Beff?'' says Daan while she waves her hands in front of my face. I wake up from my thoughts and look at her. ''U-uhm, what did you say?'' I see the expression on her face changing. She sits down next to me on the couch and grabs my hands. She looks at me with a really worried look on her face. ''Beff, are you really okay or is there something you have to tell me?'' asks she. ''U-uhm, no, nothing.'' I stutter. ''Beff, I can see that there is something you have to tell me.'' says she. Why does she know me that well? I let out a big sigh.
''It's just. I would like it to spend some more time with you. But you're Always away from home for soccer. And I really understand that, because I know that soccer is really important for you and it was always important for me too. But I'm so much home alone and I'm scared that you don't have time for me and the baby anymore and that you and you will break up...'' I look at my hands, fiddling them. ''Oh Beff, I will never break up with you. I'm so sorry that I gave you that feeling! I would like it to spend more time with you too but it just can't. Soccer takes so much time and as you said, it's very important for me. I hope you understand that...'' says she.
Now she looks down at her hands too. ''I'm glad to hear that. And I understand it Daan, really. Don't worry.'' I smile a her and she smiles back. She leans in for a kiss. She kisses me passion while stroking her hand over my stomach. I really like it when she does that, it's so cute. ''Heyy! We're back home too!'' screams Viv. Daan and I still live with Viv and Lisa since we can't find a nice place for ourselves. ''Hey! How was training?'' ''It was good, but I really can't feel my legs anymore.'' says Lisa. We all laugh at her comment. ''How was it at home? Something specials hapenned?'' asks Viv. ''Nope, not really.'' Lisa's gaze falls on my stomach. ''Your stomach is really big. I don't understand how you can live with it.'' I chuckle about her comment. ''It's not that bad.'' she smiles at me. ''As long as you're happy with it I'm happy too.'' says Lisa with a smile on her face. I smile back. ''I am.'' I look at Daan. She starts rubbing my stomach again. ''I can't wait for her.'' says Daan while looking at my stomach. ''I can't wait too.''
