I wave at my dad one last time before I watch him drive off down the street. I knew he was off to work and I sigh deeply and pray that he gets home safely when he's off. I hate his job, but he loves it and there's nothing I can ever do to change his mind.
Today is Friday night, 7 pm and I am currently at Dylan's house. Tonight is the night we are filming the YouTube video with the boys for her channel.
Dylan has had her channel since freshman year. She owns the camera and the spotlight. She's never feared to be on camera not once so she easily owns the spotlight.
Her dream is to become an actress or a famous YouTuber one day. Although people have argued about YouTube not actually being a real job.
But what most people don't understand is that some famous people started off from YouTube before they became who they are today.
I believe in her. Always have and always will.
Walking into the door, knowing that it's unlocked, I greet Mrs. and Mr. Johnson. Both of them are sat in the living room.
Mrs. Johnson is sitting crisscross on the floor near the glass coffee table, a ton of papers in front of her. She has on her glasses that she only wears when she's doing work. She occasionally would pick up her mug from off of a coaster and take sips from it.
Mr. Johnson, on the other hand, is sat on his recliner chair similar to my dad's but bigger. He has on his work uniform, a laptop on his lap looking through emails. He occasionally watched the tv for a few seconds before returning to his computer.
Mr. Johnson is a football coach at a college not too far from their house and Mrs. Johnson is a lawyer also known as Wonder Woman because she's the best lawyer you can have working on your case.
Both Dylan and Aiden's parents are completely successful and are the best people you can call family or friend. They've always treated me like I'm their third child and it still warms my heart to this day.
"You finally listened to me and started watching the good doctor," I smile and nod my head in approval at Noah; Mr. Johnson, and lean on the back of his recliner chair.
Over the years, I was given the approval to call them by their names instead of their last names. Sometimes I do, sometimes I don't.
Other times I would call Mrs. Johnson mom.
She's always treated me like a daughter, and I got use to calling her mom over the past years.
"Actually I'm watching it. After watching a couple of episodes with a friend at work, I started watching myself. He's still stuck on All American," Heidi; Mrs. Johnson smiles and shakes her head at her husband.
"I'm very disappointed in you Noah," I tsk and shake my head. He looks up from his laptop and rolls his eyes playfully at me.
"I don't watch multiple shows at once, it annoys me," He says and shakes his head before returning back to his laptop.
"So sassy," I mumble, a playful grin on my face.
"I know right," Heidi agrees.
