Standing by the front door, I climb onto a sitting chair that sat next to the door, eagerly. Moving the tan curtains, I stare out the window. My excitement is over the top as I wait for my dad to walk through the front door. Today is the day I can have my car back, finally after what felt like years.

My face is smudged onto the window as I wait. Then I see his police car drive up the driveway and I almost scream. I'm dramatic as hell, sue me.

Thirty seconds later, I hear jiggling keys and the door opens, revealing my dad. Almost tripping over the chair and my two feet, I run up to him just as he enters the house, bumping into his chest.

He grabs me before we both could fall and shuts the door, stuffing his keys into his pocket. "Don't send us both to the hospital now," He chuckles.

"Car time!" I grin, my hands behind my back as I stare up at him. He folds his arms across his chest.

"Is that so?"

"Mhm, As you can see, I'm so ready!"

"I know. Your breath steam is still on the window," He points to the window I was just in. I groan and stomp my foot childishly. "Daddy!" He rolls his eyes before walking away, me following him like a lost puppy.

I shake my hands at my sides excitedly, watching him unlock his office door before opening it and stepping inside. I walk in after as he goes behind his desk, unlocking the drawer and revealing my precious keys.

I squeal in excitement as he tosses them to me with a sigh leaving his mouth. Catching them, I hug them to my chest because I'm so dramatic.

"Thank you so much!" I run over, planting a big kiss on his cheek before running outside with only a pair of socks on. I skip over pathways, making it easier to get to the garage faster.

Punching the code in, the door begins to slowly lift, revealing my beautiful electric blue Jeep. I stand there and admire the way streaks of sun beamed down onto its color, making it shine brightly.

The car was a gift from my mom when I turned 16. The best gift I've ever received. There's no way I'd ever get rid of it. Even if someone offered me money.

I'll just pass it down to my future son or daughter. I just hope I don't have twins because that'll be a hell of a fight.

Walking towards my baby, I run my fingers across almost every inch of it, noticing how dusty it's gotten. This makes me grin.
