There is a certain kind of warmth the air brings to humans. The same warmth the cold breeze renders to a heated body or object.
Such kind of warmth that greets long lost friends or lovers the moment they finally meet, after decades of painful separation.
It was same warm feeling that took over Rhoda the moment her eyes beheld the place she and Melissa had spent the best parts of their childhood.
Though still stuck to the car seat, her sight couldn't stop reminiscing every laughter that'd echoed in that particular arena.
Neither could the seat belts restrain her body from resigning itself to the pulling force that was constantly attracting it.
Just as soon as she was about unbuckling the seat belt that held her petite figure, a sudden vibrating sound broke through the air.
One she vividly recognized as a ringing tone.
Therefore, her eyes reversed to her side and then met the sight of her phone, close to Melissa who was too poker-faced to have noticed or hear a thing.
Picking her Infinix Android phone up, she glanced at its screen which abhorred the name ID 'STK' boldly glaring at her.
On seeing such disturbing phenomenon, her figure shivered and the hair at the back of her neck arose wearily.
She didn't know why, but this call gave her the worst chills...
Scared, she mumbled, "who might this be?"
Her mind ran through a list of people who might be the possible callers...
But as much people ran through her mind, she couldn't find anyone whose name she saved as 'STK.."
So who could this be?
A gulp aggressively forcing itself down her throat, the eerie feeling tying her stomach into knots still didn't stop.
Swallowing heavily, she summoned courage and decided to answer the phone call.
Before her hands could swipe to answer, the call got cut.
What?
What was happening?
Who could this caller be and why did he cut the call so soon - just as soon as she was about finding out he was?
The taste in her mouth turned more sour and her insides twisted even more..
"This can't be good..." She kept on muttering...
