The lights burn my eyes as I try to open them. I groan, sitting up and rubbing my eyes. I run a hand through my hair, as I stand up. "Where am I?" I ask myself. I'm in a prison cell, but no one with bars and chains. It was a square room, all of the walls were cemented except one, which looked to be glass. Looked to be. I huffed, not bothering to do anything. What's the point? They obviously knew everything about me. At least, I'm sure they think they do. "Can we just get this over with?" I yelled, assuming there were hidden cameras somewhere in the room.
I turned around, facing the glass and crossed my arms. "Ms. Williams." A man, wearing all black and an eyepatch across one of his eyes, appears before me. "Oh, you decided to show up. Welcome to the party." I say, spreading my arms out to emphasize the lack of 'party' going on. "Ms. Williams, do you know why you're here?" The man asks. "No, but I'm sure you'll tell me." He shakes his head at me as I smirk. "You are on SHIELD's most wanted list. We've been looking for you for quite some time now. You have killed exactly..." He didn't finish before I interrupted him. "22,995 people. But in case you were unaware or under-informed, those people raped and abused and assaulted others. So not only did I kill them, but I also found new, safe homes for those who had been abused." The man's face had been hard set. "We know everything about you Ms. Williams. We are very aware of who you murdered and how many. But we also know of your past. We know that you were once a girl living in the 1930s, helping out with the war effort with her three friends. James Buchanan Barnes, Steven Grant Rogers and Maria Stark. What we don't know is how you got that serum that runs through your veins. So you're going to tell us."
I almost laughed in his face. "Why would I tell you that? For all I know, you could be a part of Hydra. And I won't tell them shit." With that I sat down. "How do you know about Hydra?" He asked me. I raised my eyebrows at him. "I thought you knew everything about me?" I chuckled and shook my head. "I lived with the Starks for over two decades. And I was an active participant in the Captain America project. That's how I know who and what Hydra is." He didn't say anything. He looked at me one last time before leaving. What do they possibly want with me?
It was almost half an hour later when someone else came by my cell. She was tall and lean yet she was toned. Frankly, she kind of had the perfect body. I was a little envious. Her skin tight suit was much like mine except her's was black and she didn't seem to have a mask. Her bright red hair was long and curly. "Who are you?" I asked her. She stood in front of me, her arms crossed. "This is an organization built on a foundation of trust. We can learn to trust you but do you trust us?" She asked me. I didn't know if I could trust them. I closed my eyes and bit my lip. I do vaguely remember Howard mentioning something about SHIELD. I sighed, running a hand through my hair. I looked back at the woman.
"I can trust you."
She smiled and nodded. "Good choice. I'm Natasha Romanoff, the Black Widow." She typed something on the side of my cell and the glass opened. Smiling, I walked through, getting out of that awful cell. "I'm Clara Williams. They call me Saint." We shook hands and she walked with me to another part of the... "Where are we?" I asked her. "It's an aircraft. SHIELD headquarters. We might be somewhere in the Pacific right now." Woah. She led me into what looked like a conference room where the guy in all black and Phil Coulson were sitting. "Clara Williams, please take a seat." The guy in all black orders. I'm guessing he's the boss around here. "Clara, I'm Director Nick Fury. We want to talk to you about the Avengers Initiative."
