You're back (a Harry Potter fanfic)

St mungos

James, Sirius, Remus, Lily, Dumbledore, and all the weasleys were currently waiting in the mungos waiting room. Late last night Charlotte had been bought to st mungos, in critical condition. The healers had been trying to stabilise her all night. Multiple red alarms had been going off all night. Charlotte had died multiple times. Everyone in the room was incredibly worried. Tonks had been asked to go home as she had been the one who found Charlotte.

Lily and James were huddled together in a corner, Fred was trying to comfort George, Remus and Sirius were crying, and the rest of the Weasley plus Hermione were seated along the floor. Hermione couldn't even concentrate on homework she was so worried.

No one was talking to each other anymore. No one was telling anyone anything. No one really wanted to know either. They all knew that Charlotte was In trouble. It was late the following morning when Charlotte was finally stabilised.

The healers didn't even have the heart to only tell James and lily what condition Charlotte was in. The whole waiting room was basically the order anyway.

"Now before I tell you anything, I must warn you. Nothing about this situation is ideal" said the healer

"Please tell me she'll be okay" begged George

"We can't promise anything mr Weasley" said the healer.

"What" whispered lily

"I think it's best I just explain everything" said the healer.

No one had any complaints and the healer started.

"First things first my name is healer Okina. i have been a healer in the abuse, and mental health ward for 5 years"

everyone nodded and she continued to talk.

" I have had alot of experience with abuse patients,however, i have never had to deal with something as severe as charlotte's case".

"What do you mean" said sirius

"Well...most abuse patients, come into st mungos after a family member, or friend have bought them. miss potter however has come into st mungos in the worst condition. no one was there to tell her to get help" said the healer

"So what condition is she in" said molly

"Due to the state she was bought in, she is currently in a medically enduced coma" said the healer

"How does that work" asked james

"Well given the trauma her body has suffered it needs time to heal. we have put her in a coma in the hopes of healing her body to the best of our abilitys. given the extent of the damage there is a large chance that her body will never go back to normall."

"oh merlin" said george putting his hands to his knees

"Charlotte's internall organs have suffered alot of damage. there are ways that we can increase the healing chance, however i will talk to you about that sometime in the future"

"So she might never wake up" said remus

"I'm afraid so. however there way be another reason as to why her body is in such a damaged state"

"What could that be" asked lily, not evebn looking at the healer

"After a closer look we relised that while the abuse she suffered did put her in a severe case, there was something else. after evaluating her we realised that her wrists were stained red..."

"No, i thought she stopped"Wispered hermione loud enough for everyone to hear

"I believe she did, untill this summer. it looks like she intended to...well... take the easy road out. whilst we have stitches up the cuts, there is nothing we can do for the scaring. we also discovered that she overdosed on her anti depressat medication" said the doctor

"Hang on, most of that should have been finished. it shouldn't have lasted that long" said sirius

"It appear miss potter hadn't been taking it. thats why she had so much left"

"So... Not again" said fred

"Unfortunately, second year was only the start. it wasn't garaunteed to stop after that" said the healer.

"So how long untill she wakes up" said lily barely above a wisper

"We really don't know if she will wake up. it's up to her really. she can decide if she want's to live or die. just because she's in a coma, doesn't mean she can't hear you" said the healer

"Can we see her" Said remus

" you may, however as you are such a large group, i am going to have to place an order. boyrfriend, and direct family first, that includes godparent. then uncles, or proffesors. then freinds, and family friends" said the healer.

healer okina gestured, and fred, sirius, james, and lily followed her. given that charlotte was still in an emergency room it wasn't hard to loacate her.

"Now i am going to warn you. it's not a pretty sight" saud okina, opening the door. she wasn't kidding.

there were multiple wires attatched to charlotte. she was attatched to a ventilator to keep her breathing. her loght brown hair was over her shoulders surrounding her head. her chest had a long tube attatched to her chest, and her arms were wrapped in gauze and bandages. her face was covered in bandages, a scar was going down the left side of her cheek.

"We had to insert an emergency tube into her chest to drain the blood, and fluids. if we didn't then she would have died". said the healer.

george didn't wait and ran over to charlotte's side.

"Please, please be okay char" said george, griping charlottes hand, and planting a kiss on her cheek.

"I'ts about as bad as it looks. remember there is a chance she can here you. you need to convince her to wake up. she's one tough girl, convince her to hold on. help her find her reason to live" . said the healer.

all lily and james could think about was how strong there little girl was. they needed there girl to stay alive. and they were going to do whatever it takes to get her back.
