Chapter Four - "The Real Treasure"

*Tae's POV*

I continued to chase the kidnapping bear across the long hallway. It felt like forever.

They dashed into a room with a huge door, and I went in as well.
I was shocked at what I saw.

"Surprise!"

A huge crowd of girls welcomed me, including the bear.
I spotted Tsugu, Hagumi, and all of Poppin'Party.

"Wh-wh-wh…" I stuttered. I couldn't say a word.

"Everyone's all happy!" Kokoro said. "Tae! (Y/N)! Welcome to the party!"

"Kasumi! What's going on? This a setup?!" I asked. "It's not my birthday!"

"No, silly," Hagumi told me. "This is a celebration for your relationship!"

"Whaaaaaaat?!" (Y/N) and I both shouted.

"How'd you know?" I asked them.

"Hah! Ace Detective Hagumi wins again!" Hagumi smiled to herself.

"Ha-Hagumi? You did this?" (Y/N) told her.

"Really, it was Kokoro. But I did a ton of the planning. Oh! But thank Michelle, Tsugu, and Poppin'Party!"

"Secret Stalker Hagumi strikes again…" (Y/N) said quietly. "But thank you anyway."

"Too bad Misaki didn't help," Hagumi cried out.

The bear just shook her head at Hagumi's statement.

"But how did you get on TV, Tsugu?" I asked.

"Kokoro and her suits got permission to air! They really can do anything!" Tsugu smiled.
"And I also provided food, with help from Lisa-chan and Shirokane-san!"

...Oh.

"Here it is!" Someone shouted from behind.

We all turned to see a weird girl burst through the door.

"Pareo?" (Y/N) said. She must know the girl.

"I found the… ahh, huh?" She seemed as surprised as us. "What's going on here?"

She probably wasn't in on it.

"A party! Wanna join?" Kokoro asked.

"Sure. But I'll only stay a bit because I wanna find that hamburg steak!"

"Silly! There was really no legendary hamburg steak to find!" Kokoro laughed.

"Huh?" (Y/N) and I both said.

"I should've known it was too good to be true…" I sat down on a chair and sulked.

"It was all for Tae! Saya told me that she saw how close you were to your girlfriend, so she wanted something super-special!

"That's kinda embarrassing.. So the master of this was Saya, huh?" I looked at Saya.

"Ahaha…" she laughed. "Anyone up for… melonpan?"

The whole room erupted into cheers.

"Oh, yeah!" I shouted.

"She jumped up fast…" (Y/N) teased.

"And when we're done, we've got a special dish: hamburg steak!" Tsugu announced.

"What, really?" I excitedly said.

"Yeah! It's so tasty, it's legendary!" Kokoro told me. "Your real treasure was spending time with (Y/N), right?"

I turned to see (Y/N). She smiled at me.

I guess she's right.
No one can say they went on a date with someone that included sneaking into a mansion and getting abducted by a bear, just to find some silly steak…

"Let's all have fun!" Kokoro jumped up. "Let's have a happy, happy, party!"

…

As the party went underway, I made sure to eat up all the hamburg steaks that were made.

I learned that Pareo doesn't go to our school, she actually goes to middle school.

I know who she is, because I met her a while ago. I know quite well about her band. I just didn't recognize her immediately because of her dyed hair and height.

"Aha… Tae must like my cooking…" Tsugu laughed.

"None for me?" (Y/N) said.

"Huh? Oh!" I picked up the last piece of some steak on my plate and fed it to (Y/N).

"T-Tae, not in front of everyone!" (Y/N) scolded.

"You say that, but you're blushing…" I said.

"Aww, how cute!" Hagumi said. "I wanna be like that with Michelle!"

She hugged the bear, knocking the breath out of her.

"Cough, cough…" the bear was taken aback by Hagumi's strength. "Th-there, there, Michelle loves you back."

We all had fun that night, until about 10 PM.

(Y/N) and I decided to crash at her house.
I had already called my parents about it, and they were surprisingly cool with it.
I made sure to thank everyone for making such a great event.

"Ahhh, I'm sooo full… and tired!" (Y/N) fell on the bed.

"So am I…" I fell on the bed right next to (Y/N).

"They had a plan that whole time…" (Y/N) said. "We couldn't have seen that coming."

"It helped us get closer," I replied as I held her hand.

"Yeah, and it all started with us kissing on the bed at your house. Think about that."

"True, true. But that'll be a day you'll never forget, right?"

"It was just yesterday, but yeah, I loved the time we spent together."

"Then let's do it again," I said, as I kissed (Y/N) on the lips.

"You didn't give me a chance to say yes…" she told me.

We were both blushing like crazy.
I started to lightly bite (Y/N) on the ear again.

I pulled up her shirt a bit and ran my hands across her stomach. I imagine it felt good.

I leaned in and kissed her some more.

"(Y/N), but I have to do this now," I said, quietly.

Snore…

My actions were stopped by a sudden snoring. (Y/N) had fallen asleep while I was kissing her.
Every time, something stops me. I'm starting to think that the world has it out for me.

"Really…?" I thought. "(Y/N), you're silly."

I decided to stop and I slept alongside her, still hand-in-hand.
