Izuku's POV~

"Well you see.."

"Spit it out nerd." Kacchan said angrily.

"Shoto and I dated in high school." I said, putting my head down to avoid their eyes. I felt ashamed for something I did before I even met them. Well I guess I had met Kacchan by then, but not relevant.

Kacchan's grip on my legs tightened a bit, but not enough to hurt me. Eiji was the one to stay calm. He gently lifted my head up to look at him. "Kitten, we can't be mad at you for dating people before us." He said softly. I slightly nodded at his words.

"Like hell we can't!" Kacchan said, startling me and making me jump a little bit. I wasn't expecting his voice to be so loud after Eiji basically just whispered. Eiji smacked his shoulder in retaliation. Kacchan rolled his eyes and huffed. "Can we at least be mad that they're still friends?" He asked.

"No Katsuki."

"Well actually, there's one other thing you guys should know." I said tiredly. This conversation was emotionally exhausting me.

"And what is that?" Eiji asked me curiously.

"Shoto kind of... well he sort of told me a few months ago that he missed me and wanted to get back together." I rushed. I was hoping that if I said it fast enough they wouldn't hear me.

"Are you fucking serious?"

I was wrong.

"Kat calm down. Let him finish." Eiji said, grabbing Kacchan's hand. The blonde huffed, but his cheeks turned a light shade of pink at the contact. 'Cute.'

"What'd you say?" My calm boyfriend asked.

"I said that I only saw him as a friend now and that I didn't really want to date anyone." I said while nervously twiddling my thumbs.

"Heh, you know how mad he's gonna be when he finds out that you're dating two people?" Kacchan said smugly. I rolled my eyes at his petty words.

"Be nice Kacchan, he's still one of my closest friends." I told him sternly.

"Okay seriously, am I the only one that thinks it's fucking weird you're so close with an ex?!" Kacchan asked, looking back and forth between Eiji and I.

Eiji just shrugged. "They could have been friends before they dated. They could have only dated for a short while. They could have broke up specifically because they just wanted to be friends. It could have been a short relationship. There's multiple reasons why it could work for them to be friends." Eiji said, not seeming bothered by it.

"Well? Which one was it nerd?" Kacchan asked me expectantly.

"W-well um, it wasn't a short relationship. We kind of dated all three years of high school." I said, knowing that they both thought we had had a short fling.

"Are you serious?" Eiji asked, completely surprised.

"Yeah." I said, looking down again.

"Hey, I'm not mad. I just wasn't expecting it." He said gently. He wrapped his arms around my torso and pulled me closer to him. I leaned against his chest, quite comfortable.

"Why'd... why'd you guys break up?" Kacchan asked me hesitantly. I think he figured out that I didn't like this conversation, so he was being more gentle and less, well explosive.

"Honestly? I was... scared of commitment. In high school it was fine, it was just a teenage romance that would probably fall apart within months, but then it didn't. We graduated and we were still together. We were suddenly in the real world. We were adults. It just got to real and I bailed." I said, definitely not proud of it.
