The next day the sun was high in the sky. There were a lot of pokémon out enjoying the beautiful day. Rookidee were singing in the trees, Wooloo were grazing in the fields and some Skwovet were racing up and down the trees retrieving nuts for their lunch. Today was another day I was getting to spend with Raihan. My stomach was nervous but my heart was excited. I didn't want to overthink things but that was my way of thinking whenever I got nervous. I let out a sigh hoping to calm my inner thoughts down.

My mum peeked at me from behind her newspaper with a suspicious gaze. "Are you okay Mugi?" she asked as she placed the paper on the table to take in my full expression.

"Yeah I'm fine, why do you ask?" I mumbled and placed some money into my backpack.

"You seem nervous, is there something going on?" she persisted.

"No I'm just...meeting with a friend" I muttered feeling heat rise to my cheeks. Curse you Raihan you're going to blow my cover by making me react this way!

"A friend? You look very nice to be meeting a friend" she said with her smug expression.

"Look, I just haven't had a friend in a really long time and I want them to like me" I mumbled staring down at my white top, purple skirt, black tights and brown boots.

"Mugi, if they are going to be a good friend it won't matter how you are dressed, trust me, if they know you like I do they will like you and won't want to let you go" she smiled.

"Thanks...mom" I smiled embarrassed.

I put my backpack on once I heard the doorbell ring. A wave of nerves flowed through my body as I took each step closer to the door. I held my hand out and turned the knob, pulling it open to see Raihan standing there as mischievous as ever.

"Hey Mugi, you ready?" he smiled.

"Yeah, bye mom" I called and closed the door behind me a small smile forming.

"You look nice today"Raihan mumbled looking away towards a field filled with grazing Wooloo.

"Thank you" I grinned. I didn't think he would notice that I dressed nicer today. I was hoping he would be impressed despite my terrible fashion sense. Mum normally picked out my clothes when she went shopping but something about Raihan made me want to dress better. To be the best person I can possible be. Both physically and mentally. We continued down the path towards town for a while before he spoke to break the silence between us.

"I hope you don't mind...I asked my friends to join us" he glanced over.

Internally I was screaming.

Friends? He had other friends? Plus I had to meet them! I wasn't ready for this kind of bomb to be dropped. I just about made friends with one person! How was I going to impress other people, especially people like Raihan. My stomach felt sick. I wanted to turn back, sprint home and slam my door shut in the safety of my bedroom.

"Mugi?" he mumbled worriedly placing a hand on my shoulder.

"I'm fine" I sighed moving my shoulder away from him. He frowned at the gesture.

"I'm sorry, I didn't think it would be a big deal, everything will be fine, you've got me right beside you" he assured with a grin.

I took a moment and inhaled deeply before exhaling. He was right. I had him beside me. He wouldn't make friends with bad people. He's a good person. I could do this. Plus I had no choice as they began to appear in my line of vision sitting outside a house in Wedgehurst. I felt a warm hand intertwine with mine. I glanced down seeing Raihan's hand and I felt the pressure dwindle away into nothing. "You'll be fine" he smiled and lead me towards the two. I growled at his hand realizing he didn't want me to run away so his best bet was to drag me over.
