As Rebecca sat in her office going through some files, she heard a knock. "Back to zombie mode already." Fiona peeped through the door before she let herself in.
"You know I have to work, thank you." Rebecca sarcastically retorted.

"Okay. You are going to get old at thirty at this rate." Fiona murmured.
"Who cares?" Rebecca calmly replied.

"I don't want to get old at thirty." Fiona mischievously replied her face a mixture of shock and surprise.
"You know your being ridiculous." Rebecca cast her a look. Thirty wasn't too old infact thirties was like the new twenties.

"What are these?" Fiona asked reaching for the magazines on her desk.
"Are you looking for a house?" Fiona quirked a brow when she flipped through the pages.

"Seems so." Rebecca sighed awkwardly.
"What happened to your mother?" Fiona fixed her a knowing look she always gave her when she knew something was up. That was Fiona, her best friend. It was hard to keep a thing from her.

"Spill it, I'm all ears." she coaxed.
"Well my mom can't seem to get over this thing of me getting married so I thought having my own place will help." she explained.

"And I think am too old to be living in my mom's house. It is high time I do some important decisions in my life." she continued softly.

"You know she's going to be hurt when you tell her." Fiona hinted.
"I know Fiona. It's all for the better. She'll get over it soon." Rebecca said sadly.

"Alright. I have your back girl."
"Thanks Fiona." Rebecca beamed.
"Are you ready for that party?" Fiona squealed excited.
"Keep it down, will you?" Rebecca scolded softly. Fiona threw her an apologetic look which she knew was not apologetic at all.

"It's going to be a nice party." Rebecca commented.

"Nice! Its going to be amazing. And to add spice to it, Adrian Kane is attending." Fiona smirked.
"He is hot. Cross that, he is damn right sex on the legs. We all love a good looking melanin king and don't give me that face." She studied her gaze when she rolled her eyes.

"What?" Rebecca asked when her friend threw her a weird look.
"Don't tell me you are not excited that he's going to be there." Fiona scrutinized.

"Why would I be? He's just the son of the investor not my boyfriend." she waved Fiona off.

"No one said he was. Unless, unless..." she teased.
"Don't you dare complete that sentence." Rebecca warned. Fiona smirked.
"Dont tell me you don't have even a tiny crush on Adrian." Fiona teased.
"Ew Fiona." She scrunched her nose in disgust.

"What? The man is a looker." Fiona shrugged.
"Get out. I need to work not discuss my clients, especially with you." Rebecca said seriously.
"You could fool me. I know you love it. You want to keep the hot ones for yourself you selfish woman." Fiona teased. A small smile tugged at Rebecca's lips.

"You know its not criminal to have fun." Fiona winked at her before she left with a smirk on her face. Fiona knew when to rile her up and tease her. Sometimes she hated that she knew her that much.

The whole place was decorated beautifully with colors of gold and white. The red coated stewards went about their jobs. Slow melodious music streaming in the whole room added to bright aura of the night. It was just as perfect as Rebecca had hoped.

"Becky." Fiona called when she spotted her.
"Hey." she said.
"Wait a damn minute." Fiona's eyes widened as she scrutinized her outfit.

"What?" Rebecca asked anxiously.
"Relax. It is nothing. You just look stunning." Fiona beamed.
"You bi...Oh Lord have mercy." she huffed. Rebecca wore a long body hug silver off shoulder dress with a high slit that added spice to the whole look coupled with her Gucci heels. Fiona had her scared with her look. She thought something had happened to her outfit.
