The curse of the bendy blade

Whilst investigating the death of a local painter, a Jerk private detective called Katsuki Bakugou uncovers a legend about a supernaturally-cursed, bendy blade circulating throughout Devon. As soon as anyone uses the blade, he or she has exactly 20 days left to live.
The doomed few appear to be ordinary people during the day to day life, but when photographed, they look grey. A marked person feels like a contented tortoise to touch.
Katsuki gets hold of the blade, refusing to believe the superstition. A collage of images flash into his mind: a solid donkey balancing on a sleepy painter, an old newspaper headline about a skating accident, a hooded fox ranting about fingers and drinking well located in a noisy place.
When Katsuki notices his abs have tortoise-like properties, he realizes that the curse of the bendy blade is true and calls in his friend, a psychiatrist called Izuku Midoriya, to help.

Izuku examines the blade and willingly submits himself to the curse. He finds that the same visions flash before his eyes. He finds the solid donkey balancing on a sleepy painter particularly chilling. He joins the queue for a supernatural death.

Katsuki and Izuku pursue a quest to uncover the meaning of the visions, starting with a search for the hooded fox. Will they be able to stop the curse before their time is up?
