Ch 4

Y/n POV 

Me and Max walk out of the arcade so I try to start a conversation. What have you been up to lately? I ask. Well a couple days ago my mom tried to get me to go dress shopping for the snowball. She says. Fun. I say sarcastically knowing that Max hates dresses and shopping. Are you going to the snowball? Max asks me. Probably not. I reply. Aww why not? She says. Are you kidding me? There's just gonna be a bunch of awkward 8th graders dancing to stupid love songs.  I say. It can't be that bad. Max says as we approach her house. Yea whatever.

Max POV 

Me and y/n are sitting on my bed playing would you rather. Hey I have a question. I say. Ok what is it?she says. What did you mean by rumor? I ask. Ohhh haha thaaat. She says  nerves. I've never seen her nervous I mean I've seen her mad and happy and annoyed but never nervous. Yeaaaa thaaaat. I say mocking her. Well if I tell you, you have to promise to still be my friend. She says in a serious tone. W-what did kill someone. I say nervous laughing and trying to lighten the mood. Listen Max there's this stupid rumor that Troy started last year after he asked me out and I turned him down. pretty much the rumor is that I like girls. She said. Oh ummm is it true? I ask. I wish I knew. She said leaning back on the bed. Oh ok well do you wanna go get some food it's getting late. I say trying to change the subject. Sure. She says clearly relived i changed the subject.

Y/n POV 

Me and Max go to the kitchen and I here a car pull up. Max who's that? I ask. Oh shit that's billy. Max says. Billy walks in and gives me a weird look. Max who's your friend here? He asks. This is y/n. Max replies. Y/n what's your last name? Billy asks me. L/n. I reply. No shit. Billy says lightning a cigarette. What do you mean? I question. I know your sister and I know some stuff about you. He says taking a step closer. What the hell do you think you know? I say. You have a attitude just like your sister. He says in a cold tone. And what I know is your a lesbian and that you need to get out of my house. He says taking another step closer. This isn't your house billy and she's aloud to stay. Max say taking my hand and walking back to her bedroom with me and flipping billy off on the way out. I can't even thank Max because we her billy shout and bang on the door. Come out her you little shits he says banging on the door. Come on Max says to me opening up her window. We both clime out holding our skateboards. I know were we can go Max say after we get out of the window. Ok and thanks for ya know sticking up for me back there. I say. No problem. Billy is a giant dick and I oh you one after you stuck up for me when Troy was being a ass. She says. I just smile in response. We start to skate down the sidewalk and I think it might be a good idea to ask were the hell were going. So were are we going exactly? I ask. Well there's this pretty cool high school dude I know named Steve who will under stand because I'm pretty sure he hates billy just as much as me. She says. Oh nice how far away does he live? I ask. Only like 10 maybe 15 minutes. She says.

*time skippppppp*

Max POV 

We get to Steve's house I've only been here once before so it ended up taking 20 minutes because I made a wrong turn. Before I knock on the door I turn to y/n and tell her that Billy's going to a party tonight around 9 so that's when we can go back to my house. I knock on the door and Steve opens it a couple moments later. Max? What are you doing here? He asks. Billy's being a asshole. I say. Ohhh ok come on in. He says understanding what I mean. And who's this? He says talking about y/n. This is y/n she's a friend of mine. I say as y/n awkwardly waves. By the way Dustins coming over to try to teach me how to play d&d. Steve says. Cool. I say sitting down on the couch and gesturing for y/n to sit next to me. theres food in the fridge if you two are hungry I'm going to be upstairs until Dustin gets here just yell if you need me. Ok thanks. I say to Steve as he walks away. He seems nice. y/n says once he's out of site. Yea he's pretty cool. I say getting up and grabbing a bottle of coke from the fridge. Do you want anything? I ask y/n. Nah I'm good. Ok I say sitting back down.

*Time skip because I'm lazy*

Max POV 

Me and y/n were talking when we hear a knock at the door. That must be Dustin I say. Then Steve comes running down the stairs and flings open the door to reveal Dustin holding a game and two books. Henderson! Steve yells opening the door wider so Dustin can walk in. Steve! Dustin yells back. I get up and y/n fallows me. Hey Max what are you doing here? He says. Billy. I say. Ohhh. He says. Wait aren't you y/n? He asks her. Yep. She says. Waittt you were in av club back in the 5th grade weren't you? He asks. That would be correct. She says. Ohhh realllly? And why didn't I her about this. I say. Doesn't Dustin need to teach Steve d&d or whatever. She says trying to change the subject. Yes I do. Steve do you have somewhere I can set up. Dustin asks. Yea over here. Steve says pointing to his table. As Steve and Dustin talked me and y/n went out to the pool and stuck our feet in the hot tub and talked about the snowball and other random shit.
