Cas and Dean were already at the hospital when the ambulances arrived. Dean was sitting on a bed in the emergency room, arm being set in a sling after he'd gotten thrown across the room by the particle accelerator blast. Cas was sitting beside him, wrist set in a cast and a bandage across his eyebrow for a cut that was definitely going to scar. They'd been at the bar when the accelerator exploded, and it had blown both of them back over the bar. Snart had driven them to the ER, but dropped them off since he was a wanted felon and all. So, neither of them were expecting to see their kids being rushed in by two ambulance drivers.

"Sonofabitch." Dean wrenched himself away from the nurse when he saw them, Cas already at Claire's side.

"Claire!" Cas said, grabbing her hand when it jerked towards him, squeezing tight.

"Oh god." Claire cried, pain stabbing through her head. "It hurts. Make it stop, please dad!"

"What the hell happened?" Cas asked, terrified.

"You're the father, correct?" The nurse asked, continuing when Cas nodded. "Your daughter, along with two others, were struck by lightening."

"What?" Cas said, shocked. "How the hell did that happen?"

"I have no idea, sir." The nurse said as she checked her pupil response. The cry of pain shocked them, and the nurse turned to another. "Order a CT scan and an MRI. And find a pair of sunglasses for her. Claire, can you hear me?"

"Yes." She managed, pain clear in her voice. Cas ached to help her, but resolved to squeezing her hand tightly.

"My name is Elaine. The result of hitting your head so hard and the electrical current coursing through you has triggered a visual migraine. Joyce is getting you a pair of sunglasses, and as soon as the CT comes back we can yet you on a course of painkillers."

"Where's Jack?" Cas' heart stopped at Claire's panicked question, head snapping up and looking around for his son.

While Cas was with Claire, Dean had gone towards Jack, who had been pushed into another room.

"Jack!" Dean called, eyes wide. Seeing his husbands kid unconscious, bleeding from a cut on his jaw and burns on his arms, his heart ached. "What happened to him!"

"I can't let you in here." A nurse said firmly, a hand planted on his chest. "Immediate family only."

"I'm his father Goddamnit!" It was the first time Dean had admitted it. "Look, I may be a crappy version of one and he and Claire are probably better off with just Cas as their dad, he's my husband therefore i'm as much his father as Cas is!"

"Mr Kline was struck by lightening." The nurse finally informed him, shocking him. "He's got multiple electrical burns on his hands and arms, and his heart his beating irregularly."

"How irregularly?" Dean asked, moving into the room to take a hold of Jack's hand with his uninjured hand. "Jesus, he's burning up! Can't you do something?"
