Before they arrived at the castle, Mal finally woke up.
"Did we win?" Mal asked drowsily.
"You're finally awake!" Jeremiah said, "We did win. We restored your power, and Maleficent is gone!"
"Gone where?" Mal said, now fully awake and aware of her surroundings.
"I forced her into a portal that sent her far, far away," Jeremiah told Mal.
Mal sighed in relief and said, "Thank you for everything. I admire how you didn't even know anything at the beginning of all this, and now you're a hero. You learned how bad the situation was, and stood up to do something about it."
"Thank you," Jeremiah said.
"You're welcome," Mal said to Jeremiah, "That's why I am making you the captain of the royal guard. Auradon needs someone like you who is courageous and learns from his mistakes to protect the people."
Everyone, who was awake, cheered and clapped for Jeremiah. Jeremiah was very surprised and didn't know what to say.
"Wow, this is amazing. I couldn't thank you enough," Jeremiah said.
"Also, do you want to go to school at Auradon Prep?" Mal asked Jeremiah.
"Yeah of course!" Jeremiah said.
"Okay, classes will start the week after next week on Monday. I'll get you set up with a dorm and everything and give you a tour of the school." Mal told Jeremiah.
"This is unbelievable. I just got here, and now there are so many opportunities for me." Jeremiah said.
"That's the great thing about Auradon. You can do whatever you want to do and be whoever you want to be," Mal told Jeremiah.
"That's amazing," Jeremiah said.
"You know what? I want to tell you a story," Mal said to Jeremiah.
"I'm listening..." Jeremiah said.
Mal went on and on about the story about how she got here with Jay, Carlos, and Evie. It was the most breathtaking story for anyone ever to hear, and was the most inspiring story in Auradon. It was a story of victory, hardship, happiness, love, friendship, teamwork, and freedom.
"Woah," Jeremiah said, feeling inspired.
"Yeah, it's been a an emotional roller coaster of events," Mal said.
"Also, we never expected to even leave the Isle of the Lost for the rest of our lives," Evie said, joining the conversation, "We were shocked when we heard we were coming to Auradon to go to school here."
"To be honest, we didn't even want to come here in the first place," Jay said.
"It took a lot of adjusting to get used to life here, but now we couldn't think of our lives any differently," Carlos said.
In that moment, they finally arrived at the castle.
"We're here," Jay said while he was parking.
"Ok, Carlos and Jay, you guys carry Ben. Everyone else grab the rest of the stuff," Mal told everyone.
Carlos and Jay walked out of the car with Ben, Evie carried the file, and Uma, Harry and Lonnie carried the books.
Mal walked to the big doors and knocked thrice.
Butler Harold answered the door, and was very concerned.
"Mal, where have you been? Everyone has been really worried about you..." Butler Harold asked.
"Please don't freak out," Mal said.
Everyone came in, and Butler Harold almost screamed at the sight of Ben.
"Look, long story short he's alive. I'll tell you the rest later. I need you to get Beast and Belle, and call a doctor." Mal ordered.
Butler Harold rushed to get Beast and Belle and call a doctor. Everyone walked into Mal and Ben's room, and Carlos and Jay set Ben down on the bed. Mal covered Ben with a blanket on the bed and stroked his hair.
Nobody said anything, and waited for Beast and Belle. Uma, Harry, and Lonnie set the books down with great force on the table in front of the bed, and a few things fell down on the floor including Mal's pregnancy test. Uma, Harry, and Lonnie rushed to set the stuff back in the table when Uma picked up the positive pregnancy test.
"What's this?" Uma asked, holding it in the air.
Everyone stared at Mal for an answer, and she gasped at the sight of the object.
"Guys, look I need to tell you something." Mal said.
Everyone waited for what Mal was going to say.
"Look, I'm...pregnant..." Mal said,
fighting back tears.
Everyone gasped in shock, and Mal look at the ground with her head down.
"I should've told you all sooner," Mal said to everyone.
Mal was now crying, and everyone got her the middle of a group hug.
"Don't worry Mal," Lonnie said.
"We are going to get through this together," Jay said.
"Congratulations anyway," Uma said.
Everyone laughed, and Mal felt a bit better.
Soon, Beast and Belle walked in and were paralyzed at the sight of Ben.
"Ben's...alive?" Belle asked.
"Yeah, it's a long story," Mal said.
Beast looked over to Jeremiah and asked, "Who are you?"
"I'm Jeremiah, Ben's clone. Nice to meet you," Jeremiah told Beast.
Beast shook his hand and Belle asked, "Wait...you are a clone of Ben?"
"Yeah, we might as well tell you the story now," Jeremiah said.
Jeremiah and Mal told the whole story to Belle and Beast.
"Maleficent was the reason for all of this?!" Beast asked, yelling.
Everyone nodded, and Beast sighed.
"Where is she now?" Belle asked.
"Somewhere far away from here where she won't bother us anymore," Jeremiah told Belle.
"Thank god," Beast said.
"Thank you for everything," Belle thanked Jeremiah.
"Anything for my friends and Auradon," Jeremiah said.
At that moment, the doctor and Butler Harold entered the room.
"Where's Ben?" Butler Harold asked.
Everyone pointed to the bed, and the doctor walked over to the left side of the bed.
"What happened?" the doctor asked while setting down his stuff.
"Ben got hit by a car and he was previously spelled into a thousand year's slumber, but Mal woke him up with a kiss," Jeremiah explained to the doctor.
"Before he went unconscious after I kissed him, he said his whole body was numb and hurt all over. He could only move his arms and torso but still in immense pain," Mal told the doctor.
"I see," the doctor said while he was doing the exam.
The doctor finished the exam, and sat there for a moment.
"Well, it looks like I am going to have to further examine Ben. Although, it seems like he probably won't walk for the rest of his life and we will have to put him a coma until he is better," the doctor explained, "The only other thing that we can do to help is to operate on him. Even then, there is a chance it might make his problem even worse."
"Can you please do the further examination while we discuss this outside?" Beast said.
"Let's go outside everyone," Belle said.
Everybody went out side of the room, and Belle gestured for Mal to come over and talk with her and Beast. Mal went over to them while everyone else talked to each other.
"What are we going to do?" Belle asked both Beast and Mal.
"It depends on the chances of Ben surviving the operation(s). If there is a low survival chance, we might have to put him in a coma until he gets better..." Mal said sadly and depressingly.
"I agree with Mal," Beast said, "We'll have to see what happens, but I think our safest option is to put him in a coma."
Belle nodded and said, "Also, we might have to push the coronation forward."
Mal sighed and started crying.
"I'm sorry, but we have no choice," Beast told Mal, "After Ben 'died', people started having more problems that couldn't be solved because Ben was gone. Now, everyone is in utter chaos. We need a ruler to rule the people before anything escalates."
Mal sighed and said, "If that's how it really is, I'm okay with it. Sorry I've just been going through a lot..."
"We all have, you don't need to be sorry," Belle told Mal.
"No, you don't understand..." Mal said, "Look, I need to tell you something."
Belle and Beast stood there anxiously waiting waiting for an answer.
"Look, I'm...pregnant..." Mal said.
Belle and Beast gasped, and Belle nearly fainted.
"This changes everything," Belle said, "I can't believe I'm going to be a grandmother!"
"We were thinking of giving the title of king to Chad because he should rightfully have it, but now that can't happen. You have to be queen," Beast said.
A tear fell down Mal's cheek, and she sighed.
Belle put a hand on Mal's shoulder and said, "Don't worry, Mal. Things will get better, I promise."
Mal hugged Belle and said, "Thank you."
"Anything for you, Mal. You're apart of our family," Belle said.
Mal started crying, and Belle hugged her tight.
The doctor opened the door, and said, "Can the family of Ben come in please?"
Everyone else stared at Belle, Beast, and Mal as they headed into the room.
"I took some X-rays of Ben and here's what I found," the doctor said as he pointed to his monitor.
Ben's legs were completely shattered, and he had a mild concussion. He also had broken his right arm in half, and he had only a small fracture or two in his left arm.
"I'm sorry, but he'll never be able to walk again. There's no way we can amputate them either, since each and every part of his legs are completely shattered. He will have to have casts on both legs for a while," the doctor explained, "He will only have to be in a coma for a few weeks or a month. I will have to put a cast on his left arm, but no further treatment is needed. Although, his right arm might need to be operated on. Don't worry though, his survival chance is 100%."
Beast, Belle, and Mal took a minute and to process this, and told the doctor to do whatever else he needed to do before they left the room again.
They all stood there in silence for a few minutes, until Evie broke the silence.
"Is he going to be okay?" Evie asked.
"He's going to be okay, but he will never walk again and has to have one surgery," Mal said.
"He also has to be put in a coma until most of the severe pain is gone," Belle said.
"Oh no, that's terrible!" Evie said sadly.
Everyone stood there, very depressed, and stood there a minute to process all of this.
"Mal, the coronation is being pushed back to this Monday for your information," Beast told Mal, "Be ready and prepared."
Mal sighed and said, "Okay."
Evie walked over to her and said, "You're going to be a great queen. Don't let anything or anyone put you down."
Mal hugged Evie and said, "I love you guys so much. Thank you for everything."
Everyone nodded and smiled at Mal. Now, Mal felt a bit better about everything and felt like she could take on the challenges that were thrown at her.
