"n-no I didn't, I-I was home that night"

We were all standing in the small instigation room, watching the girl named Misu answer all the questions.

She was sweating and trembling, stuttering in every sentence she said, of course she was scared, but maybe also uncomfortable with me and Jungkook standing there with her.

We were soon dismissed from the room, walking outside, I started wondering on some important details.

"hey, what if she had a spying recorder on her" I asked Jungkook.

"we checked her before going inside, we have someone who does that job"

"oh so yall had someone to do that, but my ass had to take a shower and wear ur clothes and stay bare foot"

"well you got to date me like that" he replied with a cocky smile while winking at me.

"I think you have a point jeon" said the officer looking up at Jungkook, after coming out of the investigation room.

"it's pretty obvious that she has nothing to do with this case, and the fact that he let her go after seeing her face makes it even more visible" he added, shifting his focus elsewhere.

"what do you recommend sir?" asked Jungkook.

"we need to keep an eye on miss Misu first, even if she's not involved, we have to keep her safe after what happened,... We'll put officer Jung to gaurd her for a while"

"officer Jung is busy with the case N.127" answerd Jungkook as I kept looking at the scene in front of me.

"then officer Kim"

"also case N.127"

"officer Byun?"

"case B.135"

"who's available then?"

"I'm afraid everyone is busy" replied Jungkook politely.

"you know what, you do it, untill I make a call and ask for back ups, you'll be able to continue your mission"

"but sir-" he got cut off by the glaring old man.

"no buts Jeon, this is an order, we can't risk people's life" he spoke raising his voice.

"sir, I'm afraid you are risking Soumin's life like this"

"it won't be long, a day or two, nothing too much untill we get the back ups"

"you don't have to go to school for these two days, you can go to Areum's house, wait no don't go to her house that's risky, just stay home and locks the doors, make sure the windows are closed and maybe invite Areum, like that officer Jung will look after both of you, also don't open the door to anyone, and make a password for ur family, so that you know it's them behind the door, ah shit your family, they should stay home too, it's risky for them..." Jungkook kept talked, holding my shoulders and keeping me in place.

"Jungkook, I'll be fine, stop stressing its bad for the baby"

As much as I hated to admit it, I actually felt jealous, Jungkook is supposed to look after me, not some other girl who looks like me, after all, they want me not her, so I'm the one who's put in danger now.

I paced back and forth in Areum's room, as she sat there on her phone not minding me.

There was this thing inside me that kept bothering me, how much I wanted to punch that old officer right in the face.

But you know what, I don't need a man to fucking protect me, I can protect myself

"hey, maybe you should pay your boyfriend a visit huh?" asked Areum.

"are you annoyed that I'm here?"

"no not at all, but you're being a pain in the butt, we can ask Jaehyun oppa to take us to him, and with that I'll get some alone time with my dimpled man" she proposed with a smirk, while winking at me.

"oh, officer Jeon? He's not with miss Misu right now, he went back to training, since miss Misu is home and won't go out of there till tomorrow morning, and they have put a security camera in front of her house in case anything happens" answered officer Jung as we went out the house to see him.

"wow, the incident literally happened this morning, and yall were this quick with dealing with everything, but when it comes to Soumin yall don't know how to work anymore." replied Areum annoyed.

"we actually took all the needed care for miss Soumin's case, it's just that everything was done security, don't get me wrong, but they still don't trust you there miss" said the handsome officer helpless.

"i don't remember looking like a gang leader my whole life" I replied with a pout.

"I have nothing to do with the case N.127, my mission is just guarding miss Areum. But what I know is that Lucy really hates you, and whenever we're talking about this case, she would go crazy, saying that she's more than sure that you're one of the supposedly gang, and the meeting would end with Jeon fighting with her"

"can you take her to Jungkook, Jaehyun oppa ?" asked Areum, making a cute face.

I walked in and sat my butt on the cold floor, without Jungkook noticing me as he kept punching the big bag.

"don't sit there you'll catch a cold" he said not looking at me.

"h-how did you-..."

"do you think i'm an FBI agent just cause I'm handsome?" he turned around and gave me a brief smile, then turned back and continued his training.
