I was sitting on her bed while she stared at me, leaning her head on her bed rest and waiting for me to explain what she hasn't even asked.

"I can explain..."

"That's what I'm waiting for Sia. A fucking explanation as to why I saw you in Zayden's car..."

I sighed and started with the very beginning.

"I might have freaked out yesterday when that bastard John touched me and I kind of 'disrespected' him in front of the whole school.", I said and before I could continue, her eyes went wide and she sat straight in bed.

"He touched you!? That fucking bitch! I'm gonna slit his throat!", she shouted and I closed my eyes at her high pitched shriek.

"Can you stop referring to him as a bitch? He's not female."

She makes an irritated face at my out of context comment.

"Anyways, I went to the washroom and took my pills and I might have had a little tears in my eyes which were noticed by Zayden when I came out of the washroom and the principal's office. By the way, I kind of disrespected him too."

She looked at me with a straight face.

"Zayden noticed that you cried?"

Out of all the things I said, she caught only that? Disrespecting our principal is a big issue too.

"Yeah. And that's why he offered me a ride yesterday back home and since I didn't had a ride back to school, he picked me up too."

Her face changed to confusion. She scratched her head and made a kind of shocked face.

"Why would he do that?", she asked finally and I shrugged my shoulders.

"This means...", she behaved as if something just striked her mind and pointed a finger at my face. "...that he is apologetic of the way he has behaved with you! This is awesome!"

I rolled my eyes and laid down on her bed, facing the ceiling.

"Bullshit."

She started explaining her illogical theory and it was the shittiest thing she has said in a long time.

"You are just thinking too much Eli. Your food poisoning is getting to your brain, you really need some bed rest."

She pouted and I patted her head before picking up my bag. "See you later alligator.", I said and kissed her head.

"After 'while crocodile.", she replied with a smile and I went out of the room after giving her a flying kiss from the door.

.....

I was standing near my window and staring at the fluctuating street light on the road in front of our house.

It was quarter to 12 when I saw Zayden coming from the opposite direction, jogging while his earphones were plugged in. As he came closer to my house, his eyes landed on my window and he kept looking in my direction until he was standing right in front of my house.

"Hey...", he said as he took out the earphone from one of his ears.

"I still think you're mad."

He smirks and rolls his eyes before looking at his feet for a split second.

"I just can't sleep that's it. Tiring your body can you help you sleep. It's science, not madness.", he said finally and I looked at him as if he has grown horns.

"You've got insomnia Zayden. Tiring your body won't help in your case. Better go check a doctor."

He looked away, at the road with a serious face.
