I glanced at the time and groaned. I had been dreading the hour when Daniel and Sandy were arriving. Every since they left I've been thinking of the conversation I'm going to have with them. I need to convince them to not split my brothers and me up.

Valeria watched me as I stared at the ceiling before turning to look at her. She raised an eyebrow at my behavior.

"Sandy and Daniel will be coming home in fifteen minutes," I told her, pouting slightly.

She nodded and sat up. "I guess that's my cue to leave." She grabbed her backpack and swung it onto her shoulder.

Sitting up, I watched her leave before saying, "Thanks for coming over... it was very sweet of you to check up on me."

"I'll see you later, North," she said, as she smiled and closed the door.

I quickly got dressed before heading down and into the kitchen for a snack. I hardly realized how hungry I was until I ate half the bag of Goldfish in five minutes. Daisy sat in front of me with her paws in the air, begging for food. Thor sat in front of me on the stool, waiting for his food also.

"Fine," I told them after I had enough of their eyes trained on me. I gave each of them their food just as the front door opened.

"See I told you, Sandy, she dressed and even feed the pets for us!" Daniel yelled to his wife as he entered the house. He sat his work bag down and took off his coat. Daisy wagged her tail as she heard the sound of her owners' voices.

"Hello, North. How was your day off?' Sandy asked as she hung up her coat also. "You didn't get into any trouble while we were gone right?" I went to open my mouth to speak but Sandy spoke faster. "Of course you didn't. The house is still in one piece and nothing was stolen."

I looked at the two of them and said, "I want to talk about my brothers."

The two of them glanced at each other before nodding. "Of course. It's best we sit down and talk."
