Chapter 3

That night was just amazing. But the time felt so fast. I woke up the next morning, feeling happy and excited on what's gonna happen next. But just another 3 steps down, I heard some voices: "I'm so happy that you came, Seunghyun. I know Katie will be very happy to see you here." My mom said. "I know Mrs. Phillips. I wanted to take her out today." It was no mistaking! It was Seunghyun." I wanted to hear more, but unfortunately I slipped at the end of the stairs. And luckily my head didn't hurt. Seunghyun and mom saw me. Seunghyun hurriedly went near me and helped me up. "Are you alright?" He asked. I nodded, secretly hiding the pain. "Have some breakfast." He smiled and we headed to the kitchen. 

After the breakfast, I took a bath and changed because Seunghyun told me we were going out. While he was driving: 

"We're going to have dinner later. Ok?" He asked me, giving me a quick smile. I smiled. "Ok." I simply said. "Oh, by the way, thanks for last night. I had fun." I said. He smiled again. I don't go weary with his smile. I love it, imagine watching a beautiful scenery with a sunset background. His smile was thrice than that. "It's great that you loved it." He said with softness in his voice. I looked outside the window. I The buildings and houses were like fading away and I was starting to see some more trees. "Where are we going anyway?" I asked. "Were going to have a time off. I always see building and cars. Why not the beautiful scenery?" He said. I just nodded. I was hoping wherever it was is pretty. A couple of minutes more and the car stopped. I took off my seatbelt and Seunghyun opened the door for me.  

"Thanks." I said with a smile. We were near a lake. And there were trees surrounding us. It was just beautiful, and it ws nearly sunset. 

"Wow, I didn't know this place. Have you been here already?" I asked. 

"No, I just did a bit research. It's beautiful here." He said and we both sat down. 

"where did you get the name TOP?" I asked. I was curious about it. 

"Seven, one of our hyungs in the company named it to me. I like it." He said with a big smile. I sighed.

"Are you bored?" He asked. I wasn't though..

"No, not at all. In fact, I'm really happy. That I'm here with you..you know." I hid my smile. I didn't want him to see me blushing. I'm a shy girl.

"Oh. Hehe, I'm happy to spend time to you too." He stretched out his hand and he placed his arm around me. I'm hyperventilating! I looked at my shoulder with his hand in it. Then I looked at him.

"Oh, I'm sorry,is ths making you uncomfortable?" He asked. I quickly denied.

"No, no...I-i'm fine."   I said. He laughed. I don't know why.

"Why? Is there something wrong?" I asked him. He smiled at me. I can't believe his the Seunghyun I knew before, he's very...different now.

"Nothing. I'm kinda excited for the dinner later on. And, I'm kinda nervous." He said. Why would he be?

"Why? You shouldn't be nervous. Just think of it like 10 years from now. When were having recess or lunch under the tree." I told him.

"Except for the tree part. Were going to be in a restaurant now." He added. Well..yeah..

"I know. Just keep calm. It'll be a great night." I told him.

"It's really great having you as a friend." He said as we watched the sunset together. Then it darkened and we were slowly starting to see the moon and stars. I saw Seunghyun look at his watch and he stood up. He handed out his hand for me to stand up.

"It's time for dinner. we should go." He smiled at me. I felt warmed up and we walked together to the car. He started to drive but I saw that it's not anywhere near to our house. Is he lost?

"Seunghyun..where are we going?" I asked him.

"To dinner, silly. You already forgot?" He asked.

"But, I haven't even prepared myself yet. I need to change clothes." I told him. I need to look presentable.

"It's fine. You look just great." He told me. And I was just wearing jeans, a top with sneakers.  But I just smiled to him and nodded. We arrived at this restaurant and it was beautiful. We went up the stairs (because there were stairs before you can come in) and went inside. It was not that crowded. Just the way I like it. An almost empty restaurant. Probably because it was expensive here. And we sat down. It's one of the places where Seunghyun can be....free. He doesn't need disguises or he doen't need to hide. It's just..him.

"So, would you like something?" He asked as he gave me the menu.

"Why did you bring me here? Our clothes dosn't belong here. well..you look more presentable though..but,why here?" I asked him. He just smiled at me.

"I want to treat you. It's a special day you know." He told me. Special day? what special day?

"I'm not hungry though, can you just tell me what today is? I'm not really sure." I told him.

"Before I tell you, there's someone you should meet..." he told me. What is up today?

"Just stay here." He stood up and went outside. I wanted to call mom about this day. She might know because they talked this morning. But then, Seunghyun came in..with a girl. She was...pretty. I'm not even half of her beauty. And she was , maybe, 2/4 inches short from Seunghyun. I think she's a model. And what I'm afraid to ask is: 'Who is she?'

"Katie-ssi, I want you to meet Cha Migyeong. She's a model in Korea. One of my friends who helped me in Korea. well, she's..my girlfriend." That...really, broke me. I-I wasn't expecting this.

"Annyeong Haseyo Katie-ssi. Seunghyun told me many things about you. Happy Birthday." She also said. Then a cake came in. It's my birthday? I felt like it's my death anniversary!!!!  They started to sing happy birthday to me in Korean (saengil chukkahamnida) and my tears started to fall. I'm so confused. I'm hoping it's a bad dream. I kept blinking my eyes because I want to wake up from this nightmare. Seunghyun...my first and last love...why is he breaking my heart? Am I a goner. After they sang I blew the candle and went out of the restaurant. I didn't saw their reactions but I know that they were surprised. I slowly walked down the stairs. My legs felt like lead that's why I sat down. I started to cry more. What's happening?
