Parker POV
Everything was ready.
I hoped. We only had a few minutes before we arrived at the orphanage.
I chewed my lip in nervousness.Mom had volunteered to drive me, seeing as dad wasn't the happiest that I had fallen for a orphan girl with practically nothing.
He had always intended to use me as a sort of bargaining token with one of his business partners. But dad still loved me.
After all, he had paid for Jackson King.Mom looked at me with a soft smile.
"I hope she's here, Parker. I want to see you happy again."I nodded.
"I hope she's here too. I want to see her happy for once."Mom placed her hand on my arm.
"You're a good boy, Parker. You really are."I smiled a little at this.
"Would you say I'm a gentleman?"She laughed, giving me a look.
"When you want to be."
I smiled.
Mom pulled into the parking lot."God, I'm nervous,"
She laughed, punching me lightly on the arm.
"If she's really the one you don't have to be afraid."I looked at Fluffernutter.
Fluffernutter looked back.
I nodded.
Fluffernutter blinked.Let's do this.
