My feet pressed into the damp soil as I lowered my body into the long grass, growling as I come across campers. The heavy scent of uncooked meat sizzling on the hot plate that sat over the fire making my stomach growl. My eyes turning from their natural brown colour to a cold steel blue, I stood higher. Watching as a blonde woman looked towards me, she dropped her plate. The sound of the crash made the man with her look at me aswell, the sound of their high pitch screams launched my body at them. Ripping through their bodies like paper, I threw the woman's head towards the creek. Hearing a splash, I froze at a loud gun shot sound.Looking around, my ears turned to my surroundings. My head snapped towards the entrance from the road, two men dressed in black with guns. Their eyes widened, I could tell one was young. The strong stench of fear ran all over him, dropping the limb in my mouth. I took off in leaps towards them, launching myself on top of the nervous son. I looked at the father who was terrified for his sons life, reaching my jaw closer to the human under me. In a matter of seconds, a dozen gunshots went off. Rearing, I was shoved. Whimpering as I fell to the ground.
The father sat on top of me, grasping my fur feeling his cold silver knife slither off a patch of my fur. "Henry!" A woman's voice yelled, hearing several sirens go off. "That's enough!"
"Sorry Liz." The guy got off of my spine.
"Calling all units, we've caught the reason of the recent deaths. Tell Damon to meet us at the animal sanctuary." The short woman ordered, my vision coming blurry. I shook my head, to see foggy figures coming towards me. In retaliation, I snapped making them jump back an end of the gun hitting my snout. A large material was thrown over my head, feeling wraps being tied around me I wiggled and kicked. Feeling a needle being popped through the sheet into my skin, I screamed feeling wolfsbane being pumped into my system. I felt my power wash away, my body being lifted my mind wandered to a world of darkness.
"Run Nikki, run like your life depends on it."
"So Liz, you brought me in cause of a wolf?" That voice.
"Yes Damon, it's something we haven't seen before. No reports of a creature like this in the past 10 years. Take the cover off." She ordered, the cover coming off. I squinted at the bright lights on me, feeling myself chained to a cold metal table. My vision came clear seeing a face I haven't seen in over a century. Someone I use to run wild with. Whimpering to him, he looked at me. Seeing him trying to keep his act on, my sensors all kicked in smelling my blood on the ground.
"Where'd you find her?" Damon asked.
"Her? How do you know it's a her?" Liz questioned him, Damon scratched the back of his head.
"Just guessing." He quickly came up with an answer.
"Well, it is a She. Found her snacking on campers just outside of Mystic Falls."
"Liz we need you for a second." A random voice called out.
"Excuse me." Liz placed her hand on Damon's shoulder, Damon giving her a nod and a smile. His attention landed back on me, a small sympathetic smile came across his lips.
"Remember me?" He whispered, he smiled seeing my large tail slap up and down on the table. "How are you feeling?" I whimpered in response, he understood I felt like throwing all my internal system up.
"Sorry Damon, we gonna have to ask you to leave. We have experiments to get prepared for tomorrow." My eyes widen as a man started pushing Damon out the door.
"Of course, of course." He replied as I barked for him, almost breaking all the windows.
"Shut up!" A voice behind me yelled, zapping me in the spin. I howled for help. I howled for Damon.
