I picked up Octavia and walked towards the house, Mason following behind me.

I went to my room and I laid her on my bed before I brought the covers over her. I grabbed another blanket and laid on the covers and I grabbed the blanket I had just grabbed. I don't need a mad Octavia in the morning.

I woke up and I looked next to me, looking for Octavia. She wasn't there. I started to look around my room for where I had set her stuff down to see that it is still indeed in my room.

Mason poked his head in my room and I looked at him with raised brows. "Come on. Octavia made breakfast." He said.

It's nice to actually have a homemade meal. Ever since my aunt died, we just eat out. Me and Mason live on our own and it's just quiet.

I got up and I went ahead and went to the shower. Once I got out, I had got dressed in just boxers and joggers. I left my hair a mess and I put deodorant on.

I then walked downstairs to the kitchen. Octavia was making what looked like a dessert.

I saw three plates on the table. Mason was eating one and two looked untouched.

"Octavia, you need to eat." I said. She shrugged. "He has a point. You didn't eat lunch or dinner yesterday. Come on." Mason said.

She continued to mess around with whatever she was making until she came over to the table and sat down. She looked knackered still.

We all were eating in silence. I realized that Octavia was acting kind of off. She seemed more anxious around me. She was also avoiding to look at me.

"It's Saturday. Is there anything that you want to do?" Mason asked. "I might just dance. I'm waiting for a response from some of the colleges I applied for." She said.

"Or we can do something today." I suggested and she fidgeted at the sound of my voice. "Like what?" She asked shyly, a blush coating her cheeks as she looked at me.

"Well. There is a haunted house here that we should check out." Mason said. "There is also the fall festival or an amusement park." I said.

"Maybe. I have to check in with my Aunt." She said. We nodded and finished up eating, me and Mason joking around and Octavia was quiet, taking shy glances at me.

I don't know what's up with her. But I'm going crazy seeing her like this. I was leaned against the island in the kitchen watching her. She was doing dishes because she insisted on doing them. Mason was in his bathroom and since it's Saturday, it's spa day for him. Whatever that means.

"Why have you been acting off?" I asked. "I have no idea." She said. "Is it because we were in the same bed?" I asked. "No. Of course not. I didn't mind. It was fine. Well. Just the friend way obviously." She said as she turned around to face me. Her face was red.

"You heard me last night. Didn't you?" I asked. She looked down shyly, clasping hers hands in front of her. She was shifting on her feet.

"I mean. I heard a little bit. I just...I was surprised that you would feel that way. I just...no one has really liked me. And I guess it just doesn't make sense. And I also fear of getting hurt in relationships and well..." She trailed off.

Her eyes were all over the room. Everywhere except on me. "What? I'm a fuckboy." I spat hurt. "No. No. It's just...I don't see you as the one for commitment. I could be wrong but, I do commitment and I take relationships seriously." She said

"Am I a fuckboy to you?" I asked. "No. Of course not. I mean. Sure my first day you tried to use you charms." She stopped, giggling. "Tempting but, I just...I'm not like that. Something I will say. I am a virgin." She whispered.

She was crazy red now. "What?" I said shocked. "M-My mom. She taught me how important love is. She taught me that saving myself for my true love will always be something special. She said more, but...I don't really like to look back." She said.

"I can do commitment. I can. It's just been awhile." I said, shutting down as I thought about that. I walked out the back doors which is in the kitchen and onto the patio. I pulled a cigarette out and lit it. I took a long drag from it when I heard the door open.

"I hate it that you smoke." She said as she gently took it from me, putting it out. I groaned and I grabbed another and lit it. She sighed.

"I'm just going to go home." She said, walking towards the back door.

"No. Please stay." I begged. She was stopped at the doors before she nodded slowly and sat down.

"Can you quit smoking?" She asked softly. I nodded and put it out. That's two cigarettes that has been put to waste by my woman.

I sat down next to her. "I've never seen the night sky. Like I have, but I've never actually looked at it. I watched the sky like I watch the sky now." She said.

"You said that already on your first day." I said, acknowledging it. "What's it like? Watching the night sky?" She asked.

"It's amazing. It's beautiful too. It's like you get lost in the millions of stars." I said, I just can't believe that she hasn't ever seen the night sky like I have.

"I bet." She said gently. "Tonight. Stay over and we can watch the night sky together." I said.

"Let me ask my Aunt Nelly. I should actually go call her." She said, getting up. "What about us?" I blurted out. She looked at me.

"Well. I don't know. I've never done relationships before because in all my other schools, all the guys were cocky assholes. But, you aren't. That's the difference. Well. You aren't an asshole. You can get cocky sometimes, but it suits your personality a bit. Although, I'd like to know more about you one day. Aside from the few things. You could always learn more about me. Like an exchange of secrets we like to keep locked away." She said.

"Can we try us soon?" I asked, standing up and towering over her. "What if we ruin our friendship Callum?" She asked. "We won't. Because I know that if you let us have a try. We will one day get married and start a family. Have a few girls who can dance like you. A few boys to protect our girls and to play football." I said.

"Okay. But, not now because Auntie Nelly will have my head if I don't call her." She sang. I smiled and nodded and hugged her tightly. "Thank you." I said quietly. She just hummed softly, hugging me back before she went inside to fetch her phone.
