“Louis what the hell!”
“Mate, this is fucking sick!”
“Fucking hell, if Gracie comes and sees it she’ll kill me!” I told him.
“She loves animals!” Louis defended himself.
“She loves animals? Yeah when they’re fucking cats or dogs in the house not when it’s a chimp! We have white furniture Louis!”
“Who the fuck gets white furniture with two six year olds in the house?”
I sighed as I looked at the chimp and I couldn’t help but smile. “I gotta admit though, he’s awesome.”
The chimp smiled and puckered his lips as I laughed.
“Oh my god! Monkey!” I hear a small voice.
“Jane, it’s a chimp.” Louis corrects her.
“Daddy can I play with it?”
“Yeah, just don’t tell mommy he was in the house, okay?”
She nodded as she grabbed his hands and giggled. “Cool!”
“MONKEY!”
“For the last time, it’s a chimp!”
Jawaad pushed past Louis as he sat down next to his sister and tried making chimp noises, which he failed miserable at, making Louis and I laugh.
We all started playing with him as we tickled him and laughed. If Gracie sees us she’ll probably throw me out of the house for allowing this but come on, who can resist a chimp?
As I was about to get up, a smell overwhelmed me as I scrunched up my nose. “What is that smell?”
“Oh fuck.” I heard Louis mumble.
As I looked down at the white couch, my eyes widened in horror. “FUCKING HELL!”
Right on the middle of the couch was a big fat piece of shit.
I’m fucking dead.
“Ew!” Jane yelled.
“Daddy the monkey shitted!” Jawaad said with wide eyes.
“Jawaad, it’s a chimp!” Louis corrected him, as if nothing just happened on the damn couch.
“You’re going to be accompanying this chimp back in his cage if you don’t fucking clean this up!”
And as if on cue, my phone rang, Gracie’s name flashing on the screen. “Guys, don’t make any noise!” I told them as I grabbed the phone and answered. “Hey, love.”
“Hey babe. I just wanted to tell you that I’m coming back from the pharmacy. I should be home in five minutes.”
My eyes widened. “No! I mean…can you go and get some takeout?”
“But I made food before I left this morning.”
“Yeah but Louis is over and El’s coming and you know how much they eat.”
“Oh, okay. I was just talking to El and she didn’t say she was coming but alright.”
And as I was about to say bye, the chimp opened his mouth and started making noises as my eyes widened. Louis quickly put his hands over the chimp’s mouth, making him screech, as I mentally face palmed.
