Part 15 - Investigation

Your POV:
You stayed for a night in Site-31, because your home was far away from it. You spent this night with Kayo. You took the upper bed and she took the down one. On another day, you dressed up and started to search for information about death of the previous director. You have decided to ask dr Bright for help. To do that, you went directly to his office.

Y: Hello dr Bright.

B: Hello Y/N, you have made a good decision.

Y: I hope that I will not regret this. But I need your help.

B: Sure, what do you need?

Y: I need access to security cameras from containment breach.

B: At this moment, our technicians are working on restoring data from them, we want to know who is responsible for that containment breach.

Y: Alright, if they find something, tell me, because I have a feeling that she wasn't killed by Chaos Insurgency.

B: Well, I will give you a copy of the video then.

Y: Ok, thank you.

After talking with dr Bright, you have decided to go to your temporary office and do some paperwork. It wasn't the best activity to do, but still better than nothing. After 2 hours, you have received a text message from dr Bright, telling you to come to him with your laptop. You took your laptop, which you didn't plug anywhere, because there was SCP 079 on it and you didn't want to release him. You went to Bright's office again.

Y: Ok, I am here, what happened?

B: Our technicians restored data from cameras in Site 28, give me your laptop so I can copy it here.

Y: There is a little problem with that.

B: And that is?

Y: 079 is on my laptop and I don't want to release him.

B: How did he get there?

Y: During the containment breach. He said that he will help us escape if we save him from that virus. And now he is on my laptop.

B: Alright, then you can check that on mine. We couldn't find anything in control room, and we have no idea where to search.

Y: Try to check director's office, 10 minutes before it happened.

B: Ok, lets give it a shot. *Starts a video*

For seven minutes nothing was happening. After that time, commander of Beta-11 entered the room.

D: Hello, what do you need?

C: Release all SCPs if you want to live.

D: ... That's a good joke, but I am not in a mood for that.

C: *Aims at her* I am serious. If you want to live, release them.

D: Why should I do that?

C: Because my backup will soon arrive and we want chaos in this site.

D: ... For who are you working?

C: Chaos Insurgency. Now release all SCPs. I am counting to three. One.

D: I am not going to release them.

C: Two.

D: Go ahead. Kill me. I will not help you.

C: *Kill the director* Three.

After that he goes to her computer and manually releases all SCPs.

Radio: Attention all personel!....

B: *Stops the video* ... You were right, Chaos Insurgency didn't kill her, it was our commander, who betrayed us.

Y: So, what are we going to do?

B: After our forces secure Site 28, I will give them an order to capture this traitor and I will make sure that he dies in the most paiful way possible.

Y: How long will it take?

B: If everything goes well, maybe two days. But gates will be destroyed, so the only way back to the facility will be through the embassy.

Y: But people may notice that too many of our scientists go there and dissapear behind security door.

B: And that's the problem. What's more, we cannot transport SCP 953 and SCP 999 this way. Maybe we could somehow hide 953's features, but hiding a giant orange slime will be difficult.

Y: What if we do that at night? Nobody should notice.

B: We can try. But even if we do that, we still have a problem of our staff who has to go through the security door in embassy.

Y: ... I don't have any idea for that.

B: I also don't have any idea. Maybe we could...

Radio: O5-2, please respond.

B: It is O5-2, what do you need?

Radio: It is Mobile Task Force Zeta 9, together with forces Alpha 11, Alpha 27, Beta 11, Gamma 8 and Delta 17 we have secured Site 28. Gate B is destroyed, but Gate A still works.

B: That's great news about gates, but now listen to me carefully.

Radio: I am listening sir.

B: You have to capture commander of Beta-11. We have found out that he is a traitor, who cooperates with Chaos Insurgency and he is the one responsible for that containment breach and death of previous O5-9.

Radio: Is that true?

B: Sadly yes, I want him alive when I come there with new O5-9. He will pay for everything.

Radio: Yes sir, we had some suspicions about him, when his squad slowly started to die one by one. At this moment, from 15 people in his squad, only 4, including him are alive.

B: Capture and put him in jail. I will decide about his punishment.

Radio: Alright, if you want, the entire site 28 is safe now, so staff can return.

B: Ok, that's all.

Y: So, we can come back with Gate A, and there is no need to go through embassy.

B: Luckily no, tell your friends to prepare, we are coming back tomorrow.

Y: Ok, I am going to tell them.

You went to the intercom and announced, that everyone from Site 28 will be returning tomorrow at 6 a.m. After that, you went to your temporary office, finished your job and went to sleep. You couldn't stop thinking of Kayo. You wanted to propose to her, but didn't know how. You have decided, that you will think of that in Site 28.
