Chapter-4

The first part of your plan is over, without a single hiccup. In fact, you were never worried about the first part in the first place. The area that worried you the most was the next part. The after-effects. You anticipated most of the problems that you could possibly face but you cannot ignore the odds going against you.

You have complete faith in your abilities but you cannot cast out the probability of you erring. When the probability is one out of a thousand, you can afford to take a chance. But the odds are against you. As a human, you are hardwired to err. Not because of the reason that you are not alert enough, it's a natural tendency to overlook small errors in your own work. There may be a fatal flaw in your calculations which you may have overlooked. It is a probability and you cannot stop but think about it. Long experience has always taught you that when you want to find an error in your work, think about every single possibility, every single reason which can lead to the backfiring of your plan. If you have the slightest of doubt, you have not created a foolproof plan.

So, you get up and check the time in your Rolex, a parting gift from someone you loved and the reason for your current state. It's almost two in the afternoon. You have five hours to better your plan and sit back to watch the game begin. You sit up straight on your chair and close your eyes to try concentrating. You have always been a believer in the mind boggling power of an average person's brain and you know you are above average. At any given point of time, no weapon can even compete with the destructive capability of the mind. Infact, weapons were created by thinking and thinking is what the human mind is known for. You know that the subconscious mind controls almost ninety percent of the brain and the other ten is what you use daily. That is the reason why dreams are better than reality, the reason why dreams can hardly be the reality. The reason being that the conscious part of the brain is weaker than the subconscious part. According to you, the movie Inception was a masterpiece based on the power of the subconscious. You have trained your brain too hard to force it to notice everything in your vicinity, in your reach. So you begin thinking about everything you have done since the last week.
