Chapter Zero
From the moment she felt the plastic between her teeth, the Made From China imprint and the sensual "zooozmmzoo" hum buzzing against her lips, she knew she and the kazoo were meant to be.
Tara was the top kazooist of her orchestra class. It was a difficult instrument. It hadn't always been easy. She struggled to get the hums and the right tunes for each song. However, she worked her way and got from first chair kazooist to first chair kazooist–she was the only kazooist in her orchestra.
Tara played the kazoo because when she played... it was like... almost like... like Fur Elise...like a series of happy cadences and pianos that made her feel safe. Fur Elise had been her favorite song since she was four. Beethoven knew how to tell a story with music. Those notes, the "DUH DUH DUH DIDUH" beat...hearing it inspired her to play the same on her kazoo. "ZOO ZOO ZOO ZIZOO..."
She was friends with everyone in chamber. It was almost time for the Jazz Dance, and everyone was now getting dates. Boys, girls, cellists, violinists...
This was funny to her. THis made her laugh."Hahaha!" she laughed. I don't need anyone. I have my kazoo. But that would soon change. It would all happen third period chamber orchestra.
What happens next? Stay tuned!!!!!
