Him And Her Kazoo

Chapter Three

The next day, Tara got up and tied her long blonde hair into a messy bun. Sweat gleamed on her head and she wiped it off her hand as she hooked up her lacy pink bra under her black tank top and black Nirvana t-shirt and black leather jacket.

"Tara!" It was her brother, Terry. "The bus is coming!"

"Ugh, coming!" Tara mumbled. The kazoo dribbled out of her teeth as she dropped it into her case. "Gonna be late!"

First period of class came. Second passed. Finally third.

"Hey Tara," said Suzy. "Look what I got!"

She pointed to a big red spot on her neck.

"What is that?" Tara asked. "A violin mark?"

"No, Tara! I'm a viola player! This is a hickey!"

Tara never thought that a viola player could ever get laid. But Suzy was popular. Suzy was beautiful. Suzy was an exception.

"Suzy, I gotta tell you about this dream," said Tara. "About him?"

"About who?" Suzy went.

"Yeah," said a brooding voice. "About who?"

Holy crap it was Peter!

"Peter?" Tara cried.

"Your dream was about Peter?" asked Suzy.

"Yes! No! Peter, what are you doing here?"

"Getting ready for class, like a normal person." Peter laughed. "Hahaha."

From his backpack, he pulled out a long Otamatone.

"Are you ready for your solo?" Peter asked.

"Yeah. Duh," Tara added. She wanted to sound cool, for some reason. "I've been practicing all month!"

"Ready?" Mr. Note called.

The students all got their instruments up. Tara's mouth began to sweat. Her solo was coming up first! She took a deep breath, then-

ZooooooZOOOZOOOZOOOOOZOOOOOZOÖÔOOzoozozozozozozozoZOOOOZOOOOZIOZOOOZOOOzoo zooooZOOOZOOOzzoo

And then came in Peter-

DoOOOOO! DooODOoDOooDOooDODoDOO!

And suddenly, her and Peter were harmonizing-

ZOODOOoDOZooZdOoZOZOOOdoOODOoOOOOOOOOOOOÕÕÕÕÕÕÕÕÕÕ

Finally, the song ended.

"You two were amazing!" Mr. Note yelled. "I am so proud!"

"Wow, we are ready for the concert Tara." There was a concert tomorrow. "I'm so glad I got to play with you. Let's get food tonight. My treat."

Tara blushed. "Of course!"
