Bakugou's POV

I watched as Kirishima was lead into the Ambulance after Todoroki, still holding tight to Izuku as he trembled slightly in my arms.

After standing there for a few more minutes, a police officer approached us and asked for a statement. With both of us being unable to give one at that moment, the officer gave us his personal number and offered us a ride back to the dorms, which we gratefully agreed to.

The ride was silent, with Izuku quietly crying while looking out the window, gripping onto the brown leather seat tightly.

I moved cautiously and gently took his hand in mine, which caused him to look up at me.

His eyes were red and so was his nose, his bottom lip bleeding from biting down on it. He really needs to get out of that habit.

I sighed, and gave his hand an encouraging squeeze before looking out the window again, both of us not saying a single word.

When we arrived at the front gates of the school, I thanked the officer for the ride and exited the car, stretching my legs.

I frowned when Izuku's door didn't open, and walked around the car, opening his door and kneeling, watching him silently.

He just stared at me and shook his head, more tears falling to his cheeks and running down his freckles.

I sighed and put my hand on his knee, hoping to ground him.

"Do you want me to carry you?" I asked, watching as he took his seat belt off.

He still didn't move out of the car, and I could tell that the officer was beginning to grow annoyed.

"C'mon," I sighed, turning on my toes, still kneeling. "Put your arms around my neck."

He did as he was told, and I carefully lifted him, his chest pressed against my back and his legs wrapped around my waist. I put my arms under his knees for extra support and smiled softly when I felt him rest his head on my shoulder, his face squished into my neck.

I closed the door and the officer sped off, leaving as I walked through the gates and towards the dorms, flashing my student ID card to gain access to the school grounds.

I then walked down the path towards the dorms, admiring the disappearing sunset as the clouds were painted in a beautiful dark pink and blue, the stars visible.

"Hey, Izuku," I murmured, feeling the boy lift his chin at the sound of his name. "Look at the sky." I felt his head turn upwards and heard his breathing hitch.

"I-It's beautiful. . ." he breathed, and I smiled, glad that my attempt to cheer him up was successful.

"Yeah," I whispered, blinking. "It is."

I started walking again, breathing in deeply and listening to the sound of birds around us as I walked through the school garden.

"Hey, Kacchan?" I heard Izuku say, and I stopped my descent towards the dorms, standing under a tree.

"Yes, Izuku?" I replied, and felt as Izuku held tighter around my shoulders.

"You're a g-good person, Kacchan," he murmured, sighing and pressing his head into my neck again. "Y-You're just so . . . awesome."

I smiled, squeezed Izuku's legs lightly. "I'm happy that you think that."

I heard Izuku sigh in relief and felt as his muscles relaxed, his body going limp.

I swallowed and looked up at the sky again, the stars blinking.

"You're awesome too, Izuku," I continued, beginning to walk towards the glowing warm lights of the dorms. "And never let anyone tell you otherwise."

After another minute of walking, I entered the dorm building and called for the elevator, pressing the button for the class 1-A common room.

When we arrived, the whole class was lounging quietly on the couches or making a snack in the kitchen.

I walked forward silently, Izuku still latched to my back and hiding his face under his wild green hair.

The moment I round the corner into the kitchen, I was stopped by Iida's chopping hands.

"Where are Todoroki and Kirishima, Bakugou?" he ordered, his voice loud and tinged with authority.

I sighed and swallowed before meeting his gaze. "T-They're in the hospital." I said quietly, trying not to cause a scene.

"WHAT?!" Iida yelled, angry. "Why are they in the hospital?!"

Upon hearing Iida's cries, Kaminari and Momo entered the kitchen, concerned.

"Who's in the hospital?" Momo asked, worried.

Iida ignored her and stepped closer towards me. "What did you do, Bakugou?" he sneered, pushing into my chest painfully with his hand. "Did you hurt them?"

I shook my head in panic, loosening my hold on Izuku, who jumped down from my back and stood in front of me protectively, sniffing and wiping his tears away before pushing Iida backwards harshly, making the taller boy stumble backwards.

"D-Don't you dare touch him!" Izuku yelled, tears flowing down his cheeks and gaining the attention of the remainder of the class. "And don't you d-dare blame him for something that was out of our control!"

Izuku's voice trembled and he sobbed, his body shaking.

"Deku-Kun –." Uraraka attempted to talk to him and rested her hand on his shoulder, only for him to slap it away.

"D-Don't touch me," he stuttered darkly, walking backwards and pressing his back to my chest. "D-Don't."

Uraraka teared and looked hurt, her face plastered with concern and confusion.

"C'mon, Izuku," I whispered into his ear, taking his hand. "The paramedic said you needed rest."

Izuku nodded and leaned back into my shoulder, sobbing.

I place my arm around his waist and walked from the room, but I was still close enough to hear what Kaminari said next.

"He called him Izuku."
